Why was DK picked to be Jesus? A reference to evolution versus intelligent design? I have a feeling I'm reading too much into this.

Personally I think the Duck Hunt dog should be in his laughing state, more memorable of a pose IMO

I'm not usually offended by stuff like this, but I actually find this picture offensive. Obviously the artist has a right to display this, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. If you're wondering, yes I'm a Christian, so equating a video game character to Jesus is a bit too much to be humorous to me. I am glad however that I live in a country where it is possible to freely express these things.

Oh grow up you pretentious arse. Did your mother not tell you the truth about Santa and the Easter Bunny either?

@Samuel: Since when is it pretentious to practice a faith? I think it is way more pretentious to equate a the existence of God, a core belief of many people, with fictitious characters. I'm an atheist myself but that doesn't give me or anyone else a right to be a condescending asshole to people with different beliefs.

Freedom of belief and freedom of speech are beautiful rights which ought to coexist.
Now, if Nintendo characters were to be equated with Satan and his demons in an art piece, I'm pretty sure that there'd be a general uproar at how crazy "Christian religious freaks" would be.
PS: In case you're interested, I'm an atheist, but that shouldn't even be relevant to my argument.

Evolution has allowed me the right to be a condescending asshole. I don't murder, steal, pillage, or rape. So I think the least I can be privileged to is calling a fool out on his comparison of Donkey Kong and Jesus. At least Donkey Kong has more viable structure than Jesus. People can believe what they want. Truth be told in the end.

What's ironic is that your thought-process expressed in that statement is about as logical as the kind of process of religious extremists, or those people you call fools. :)

Yeah, shut up.
Let him be offended, and let him offend you. Not like he can run into Xtina's nursery and burn it or anything.

If Christina Aguilera really put that in her nursery, that'd be messed up, because that's just creepy win.
