It's not just the $10.

The big secret is DLC matchmaking doesn't work.

You'll get thrown against generals and brigadiers because there aren't enough players.

So you pay $10 so they can have fun killing you. Great deal!

It would be cool if they could offer a 1 day free trial for one of the new maps and take the drug dealer approach: get the players hooked so they buy the entire map pack.

Personally i think the way that the way they did with DLC and the hoppers in Halo 2 seemed to work fine. The whole if you dont have the maps you cant get in. I feel like i got cheated $10 for maps i (A) only play in the specific DLC Playlist(which is lots of fun by the way) or (B) only play with my friends in custom games. I've played the maps in ranked once, and even then the bastards vetoed. I'll buy these unfortunately anyway. Hehe I dont have much self-control anyway.

Bungie needs to add objective-based games to double team and all will be right with Halo 3.

Listen bungie works there asses off on these maps, the two revealed so far look amazing and the third is promised to be a fan favorite. You have to take into account that its not free for bungie to make these maps and they also have to go through alot more testing then in HALO 2 now there is forge to deal with, new vehicles and weapons to account for and extra testing for all those custom game options.

This pack is well worth the money for me and i will be buying it on day one like i always do and always will.

Keep up the good work BUNGIE

REMEMBER,

MS is the one who is controlling the prices. Bungie has stated this. The way they said it, basically hints that they dont agree either but what can you do?

I was very disappointed with the first Map Pack. Sorry, but to me it turned out to be a waste of money. I didnt spend much time playing that playlist because frankly, it got boring and I just didnt enjoy the maps much.

Rats Nest is decent. Nothing special.
Foundry is cool.....when you play on some user created maps. Definately not cool the way Bungie has it set up.
Stand Off seemed like the best of the bunch, but after playing it several times, something just isnt right about it. Its okay but definately something Ill be vetoeing when it makes it to all playlists.

The new maps LOOK like they have potential. At least the 2 shown to us. I am not sure if ill buy yet. I might wait and get some opinions from buddies of mine. Definately not from here because it seemed too many people thought the last Map Pack was actually good.
And if the Moonlight map does turn out to be Lock Out, man I sure hope they dont screw it up. I loved that map on Halo 2. I have a feeling this will be like a movie sequel and "Lock Out 2" will come up way short when compared to the original.
