Guitar Hero: On Tour and 'Guitar Grip' DS peripheral revealed

This would have been better if the buttons were offset from the screen maybe a hands length. Like on a little neck that could go on either side of the DS. Then it would LOOK like a mini guitar AND you could have all 5 buttons.

But what do I know. I'm just a gamer, not some suit who wants to capitalize on a franchise I didn't even invent.

Wow, this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. I guess if you're 10 this might seem like a good idea. I can't believe any adult would ever have fun with this. It looks so unwieldy and so un-fun.

It appears that there is a strap, a la a camcorder - you can see it at the 25 sec mark.

What seems even more interesting/weird to me is that the guy seems to be blowing on the DS at one point - is that some sort of new power-up? The guitar in the game seemed to be on fire so could it be a power-down?

I can't really see myself buying this but I guess if the song list is good and the mechanic actually works then I might be persuaded.

Pass this game will be impossible on anything harder than medium, if diffculty is based off of GH3 which had a brick wall inhuman diffculty spike on the last two diffculties. Also since there are four buttons only it means they're just gonna cram even more into the other sets and speed it up. Also this game just looks awkward and redicoulous to play. I mean you do you look weird playing the GH and RB giutars but then you at least have the feeling of playing a gituar and people can tell what you'r supposed to playing, also you can do tricks if you know what your doing while playing. This game just makes you look......odd with no tricks because if you put the 'Guitar' behind your head you can't see the screen for example.

looks really really hard to hold, and i'd be worried about ejecting the ds cart in the middle of play because of where my thumb would be resting.

Now, I'm just curious if this works with the original design DS (which I have), which has a deeper GBA slot (when you plug GBA games into the DS Lite, the stick out of the shallow slot, while GBA games in the original DS are flush with the bottom of the DS). So, theoretically, the connectors in the Guitar Hero Frets will be too short to connect to the original DS.

What I wanna know is does this count as the 2nd Guitar Hero Game of the year meaning that we wont get guitar hero 4 this year If I remember someone mentioned we would get 2 new guitar hero gmaes before the end of the year now we get that stupid aerosmith one and then this one??? does that mean no REAL new guitar hero this year?

Now that idiot at school can finally stop asking if I'm playing Guitar Hero on my DS when I was actually playing Ouendan at the time =_=

Hmmm... I might try it out when it comes out, but just try it out. I don't think I'll buy this game, since it looks rather easy with only 4 fret buttons instead of 5. Also, the graphics make my eyes bleed. If that's how Pandora(or is that Casey?) looks on this game, I don't want to think how the rest of the characters, especially that caveman singer, will look like in this game.

I dont know why they complain about sound quality. Look at games like elite beat agents, jam sessions and tony hawk. elite beat agentS and tony hawk HAVE ASWOME QUALITY SOUNDTRACKS AND SONGS. and jam sessions sounds AWSOME in general. The grip thing does sound a bit gay. i would rather a mini ukelle-esk guitar that plugger in the gba slot so u used the DS as a screen. Now With the whole side way DS grip thing, how the hell does multiplayer work?(rant over :-)

ive had mine for three years and play it weekly with games like Kirby, Mario 64, and Pokemon that use the touch screen all the time. they built the tiny pick with you in mind, they wouldnt make something that would harm the DS. yes, they actually thought of you, little old you, how sweet and kind of them to acknowledge your existence.

as for the blowing microphone power for the mic...you can also press one of the ds buttons or tapping the "Star Power" icon on the screen...though i read this from wiki and wiki is usually sketchy on details...
so now you don't have to be worried about looking like an idiot when you blow in the microphone, which i personally don't care about doing

well, im pretty much looking forward to this. it sounds pretty good. anyway, the issue with this will prolly be that the DS speakers are very tiny and dont give a very nice sound. but you could prolly just get externel speakers for those. anyway, it'll be a pain in the tuckus to *not* rip out the fretboard(?) by going hyper. and you'll look retarded if you start yelling on the bus =D
