New Crisis Core trailer shows off summons, butt rock

Watching this trailer may embed some niggling questions in your mind -- questions like: Is it safe to run on top of trains? Why does Cloud have black hair? Who at Square Enix decided that story-rich fantasy and gut-crunching metal were a good mix? However, this video should eliminate any question in your mind that a spiritual sequel to a 3-disc RPG masterpiece could fit on a UMD. Focusing mostly on summons, a Final Fantasy staple, this trailer has pushed our excitement for Crisis Core far beyond our apprehension towards the game. We just hope the final product has music of a more ... listenable variety.

And I'm pretty sure that music is a remix of the boss battle theme from Final Fantasy 7. So it's okie dokie in my book.

the pc version had an install disk, + the three actual game discs... so it was actually 3 cds for the game..
and it was labeled as install disk, disk 1..disk 3..

Joke's stale. They looked identical in the game, but Cloud and Zach do look quite different when properly rendered, and it's not like you need to go through the game with a fine-tooth comb to know it, either.

Maybe because it's Zack not Cloud . In final fantasy 7 Cloud "steals" Zacks' Shinria soldier credientials and sword after he dies .

Might as well give it a try. Absolutely hated Final Fantasy 7 (after the stellar Final Fantasy 6, I couldn't let my standards fall to the point where I'd like FF7), but damn if the music/atmosphere weren't top notch.

The game honestly isn't that impressive, and the USA version has been released on torrent/warez sites already.
Finished it today, it's a nice reminder of what Final Fantasy VII was, but doesn't really live up to it.
Although I must say, the new battle system and materia fusion gets a thumbs-up from me.
It did make me want to play the seventh one again, but it doesn't work in my PS2, and my PS1 is dead. What a shame.
I totally think they should do a remake for the PS3, or even make the original available on the PSN. Instant profit!

I'm going to have to disagree with most of you. While i'm sure i'd love a FFVII remake, i think it's best left alone. Let it be a memory of what is still an amazing game. It shouldn't be remade, or even released on the PSN for that matter. If people want to play it, they should have it, buy it, or save up. Like Ken Kutaragi said (i don't know the exact quote), people should work extra hard to pay for (ps3) Final Fantasy VII and enjoy it that much more.

Why pay a dime for FF7? Download it. Nobody related to the development or publication of that game gets a single dime either way.
