SOCOM Confrontation's Special Forces organizations revealed

As it stands right now, clan-bound players can join up with and enjoy the unique equipment options made available from five different, actual military units: U.S.'s Navy SEALs, U.K.'s Special Air Service (SAS), Germany's Kommando Spezialkräfte (KSK), Spain's Unidad de Operaciones Especiales (UOE), and France's 1er Régiment Parachutiste d'Infanterie de Marine (1er RPIMa). We're sure this will make for some realistic, intense firefights -- still, we wish there were more eccentric units we could sign our digital soldiers up with, like the Michigan Militia, or McHale's Navy (the Tom Arnold remake regiment, of course).

I saw that to and thought it was weird...the last Socom I played was Socom 2 and the first PSP Socom and they were 3rd person.

It is a bullshot from SOCOM3, yes.
That is not in-game graphics.....just like the trailer from Killzone2 was not actual gameplay, though we were told it was.
Speaking of Killzone2....where the hell is that game? How long has the PS3 been out now?

They are still working on it, one level takes up like 2 gbs apparently, so you can imagine how much several levels takes, hopefully all this memory will be worth the play.

hopefully some of that space is being used to incorporate more than the colors black grey and dark grey.

Yeah lets attack a pre-alpha Killzone 2 trailer that smoked anything in complete form on the 360. Nice try but just watching the gameplay trailer ends an assault on the game easily. Score? PS3 - 1, rabid 360 fans jealous of Killzone 2 - 0.
Of course it's only natural to sit around and attack Sony since you can't game until your 360 refurb arrives from 1-800- BEN-DOVER.

I'm a huge socom fan and the new factions are cool, my only question is what stops a non clan member from just making their own clan with themselves to get the extra uniforms?

Someone mentioned customizable uniforms for clam members, you make a clan and add customize options.
Even if it doesn't come out standard, any chance of it doing a warhawk and coming out through expansions,

Gameplay from back in E3 07, so I'm pretty sure the graphics look better and also that the game runs more smooth than it does in there, still, not a la par with the picture shown above...

Whatever issues they had back then, they've used the time to fix.
Doubt the final product will look or play like that, then again, they are trying to aim at the warhawk style market. Downloads for PSN ^^

It's probably from some animation for the intro title sequence... What? Did you think that 'Mad World' Gears of War ad was 'in-game footage' or that playing Mario Galaxy was going to look like the cover? Probably not. Same thing here.

That trailer didn't look too bad. I'm sure it has improved and will look alot like GRAW in the end. If I had a PS3 I'd hope to god the framerate is better than it looks to be in that old trailer.

Does all art/pictures for upcoming games have to = screenshots nowadays? (for the PS3 at least I guess for you guys) Even when the only people making these absurd assumptions are...fanboys? Since when does a company release a single in-game screenshot?

Exactly my thoughts! The same people bitching about the look of that image being a screenshot probably don't even own a PS3.
Compare the graphics os the top PS3 exclusives and you will find they are some of the best around and top notch. I am not saying they are the best in the industry but games like Heavenly Sword and Uncharted certainly boast some of the best graphics in any video game. To top it off the games are also extremely fun unlike say Lair who has some of the best graphics EVER in a video game but suffers from a terrible control scheme. I am probably one of the few people who actually liked Lair and found it a fun game. Sure it wasn't the best ever and it was a bit short but for a 1st year game I found it enjoyable. Just as enjoyable as games like Kameo and Perfect Dark for the 360. To me the graphics are 1/5 of the equation for a good game with control mechanics, story, design and AI rounding out my most important factors. I enjoy multiplayer but it is not important if the game is awesome (see Bioshock).

I remember when Stargate had two of the guys playing SOCOM.
