PS3 Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 plagued with online snafus
Our tip box has exploded with complaints from owners of the PS3 version of the game -- apparently, a majority of those who try to play online either can't connect or have to suffer staggering amounts of lag. We'd expect a bandwidth epidemic such as this to be patched post-haste -- we guess Ubisoft didn't anticipate we'd actually want to play their game on the first weekend of Eastertide. What, did they think those terrorists would hunt themselves?

More Railroad Spike Sucking for Good Measure.
Probably Some Brawl with the family later... But surely more Railrod Spike Sucking.
I know, you pay for a service that has lagless dedicated servers and everything... Oh, wait.
The 360 version of Bully just goes to show how bad a game can be if the crew porting it aren't there to do a quality job. When they figure that out they might actually see a rise in sales.
Yeah, too bad the CONSOLE doesn't work. I'm waiting for my third RROD'd 360 to be repaired. Do you understand that? I have had three different Xbox 360s which I purchased brand new (though the in-store replacement program) and ALL have died. Getting sick of this crap.

Not anymore it seems. We're just going to get lame re-hash Rainbow Six 2009, 2010, 2011... etc... And GRAW 2009, 2010, 2011...
They're like EA, which surprisingly has been better these days. They've brought back the Command & Conquer franchise in a real way, instead of the lame crap that was Generals. They're also investing in new IPs instead of simply making sequels.
How quickly the two companies have switched places!
EA is doing better because they have somebody there now that actually knows what the hell is going on and knows what gamers expect (Mr. Moore anyone?).
Thanks.
Ubi on the otherhand has gotten lazy as of late and seems to be falling into the trap of making crap for quick cash.

I didn't say ANYTHING about the quality of the 360 version. I'm sure it's fine. I said the developer made a "satisfactory" port.
But thanks for jumping in anyway.
Here Reformation it may help:
A= Apple
B= Bee
C= Cat
A = A
B = B
C = C
Time to burn my English degree...

I guess it's a classic 'your milegage may very', but I would blame this more on Ubisoft than either the 360 or the PS3. I still think a class action lawsuit should be put on them for what they called 'Rainbow Six Vegas' and released on the PS3. Hell has a special seat just for them on that one.

Really? A "good portion" = a forum post with 11 comments in it, on the IGN VN boards, the biggest cesspool on the internet?
So digging beyond the one link you provided to back up this story, a look at the official forums indicates that yes, some people are having trouble on the PS3. How about reporting that in a lot of cases, those problems are coming from people's net connections? That those people also have problems with COD4 online? That in many cases, adjusting their routers and whatever else actually works? Or that some folks woke up Easter morning and found that it was just less clogged up and their games worked fine?
How about also pointing out that Vegas 2 is a peer-to-peer game? i.e., there are no servers, all games are peer-hosted and therefore depend on the quality of the connection of the host?
Also, god forbid the poor tech support bastards take off one of the biggest religious holidays of the year.
This story is like a Fox News story of the gaming world. Jesus guys, lay off the sensationalist horsecrap.
