Eye of Judgment expansion delayed for the US
It looks like players in both Japan and Europe will be getting a leg up on building decks and strategies for the upcoming expansion to Sony and Wizard's of the Coast's Eye of Judgment, as the game will not make its previously announced March 27th released in North America. If we had to guess, this probably can be traced to some sort of printing error with the cards, though Sony hasn't specified a reason for the delay, nor a new North American release date, with a post on the official PlayStation blog saying only to "stay tuned."
As previously mentioned, the expansion will require not only the original game but also the purchase of a download from the PlayStation Store (for new character models and effects we assume), though Sony adds that this download will be kept out of North American players' hands until the cards eventually make their fashionably late debut. Until that time, enjoy the expansion's latest trailer, and imagine yourself playing the game through the magic of self delusion.

I bought a case of the first series cards. I'm set until the third expansion....

no surprise since everything from the ps3 gets delayed or cancelled they should just cancel the ps3 itself im sick of the same "delay" and "cancelled" news involving the ps3
Moofree @ Mar 25th 2008 9:57AM
Delays and cancellations? That would describe much of the entire video game industry; not just the ps3.
They should just stop making video games.

Good. People who were going to buy this game should take that extra time to get out of the basement and get some sun on their pasty asses anyway.

You know this is a GAMER blog, right? We all live in the basement and have pasty asses, including you.

I'm aware. However, there are different levels of nerd-dom, dude. I'm a self-proclaimed Beta/Gamma Level. This is some Omega Level shit right here.

I don't know. Here is my deal. Several friends and I enjoy these styles of games but hate keeping up with rules, managing damage modifyiers, etc. Essentially everything that keeps everything but the hardest of the nerdcore away from CCGs.
Eye of Judgement? Does all that work for you and it's highly entertaining among a small group of friends. I mainly bought a case so that I could built 12 balanced decks ready to go when someone says "Hey, let's play EoJ." The tech itself is very cool.
But mainly, I'm just a lazy ass who's tired of keeping up with Magic rule changes, banned combos, etc. It's the fun of CCGs and Triple Triad (FFVIII and FFIX) without the need for constant rule checking.

Don't get me wrong, from a tech-standpoint I think it's an amazing idea...but since I am not, and never was, a Magic/D&D kid I'll never understand the appeal of the game itself.
Also, apparently it's super easy to cheat at this by copying or d/l'ing printouts of the cards, and I dislike me some cheaters.

Christ! However will I sleep?
Horlicks.

I picked this up for cheap on amazon, like 40 bucks. I don't get a god damn thing about it. Trading it in this weekend. Bleh.

Ok and I'm not trying to troll,
But how many people actually regularly play this game by themselves or with friends? It seems that after this game came out, it kinda disappeared of the face of the earth.

If you go online, on the slowest day, you may have to wait 60 seconds before you find an opponent. Usually, it's right away. Any time of day or night, or week-end. That's one of the coolest thing about this game. Any other card game, you had to get somebody in your house to play it, or go to your nearest card shop. Not anymore!

I always thought Magic and D&D were for uber nerds and i hated it when friends tried to get me to play with them. Then i bough EOJ... the comment about the game keeping track of all the rules, damage modifiers, etc etc ... true. This game is a ton of fun and i never liked any of this crap before. I play this with my girlfriend, real life friends in person, real life friends over the internet, and complete strangers online that kick my butt regularly. Some of the most fun i've had playing videogames in forever.
Shagittarius @ Mar 25th 2008 2:24PM
EOJ needs expansions quickly, the game is very limited right now.

I will kill you through this children's card game.
