The PSP will always stutter while they do things like release SKYPE over a month before they release the headset required to use it. Or make the Go!Cam harder to find than a Wii on 24 December. Or fail to advertise games like Patapon in Europe. Or wait three years into the hardware life before delivering a download store - then STILL not having movie downloads anywhere on the horizon. Or refreshing the hardware without delivering anything the entire community is screaming for.

I have to agree with that last one. I like my slim, but it could have been so much more.

As long as a steady flow of good games rolls in, I'm set! I pretty much fail completely at using all the PSPs features aside from playing games.

i didn't know that you needed a full battery and the charger plugged in to update the psp...when 3.93 came out, the battery thing in the corner had 2 bars and it worked fine. oh well.

I been a 3 year owner of the PSP, I also upgraded to the slim and I have to tell you that the first year I asked myself if I had made the right decision. But now I know I did. I know there is a lot of things everyone wants their PSP's to do, I am just happy there are games to play!

For the first year I only played Wipeout Pure and Ridge Racer, things only got interesting when the Store came along but the UK Store is miles behind the Jap/US version, they need a flood of content.

Although I do want the GPS add-on (which was out in Japan 2 years ago, I think), the PSP really needs games. There's basically nothing left on the schedule for 2008 that is remarkable. Whee, another Ratchet game.

I can't blame publishers, since almost no one buys them. But still, Sony needs to do something for those few of us that do buy games. And they need to do a better job of the games they do put out - the Show 08 was pretty pathetic, an effort worthy of EA

I'm looking forward for that GPS but I sure do hope it's available for the 1001 series.

I want them to buy-back everyones slim PSP and re-release it with dual analog. Every damn game that's pretty good would have been great with just one more stupid stick on the right side.

I'm growing to hate my PSP because of it. Maybe Crisis Core will quiet the hate but sooner or later I'll put in an FPS or TPS and be filled to the brim with hate and regret all over again.

If it weren't for the portable web browser I'd have sold it a long time ago.

GPS? Keyboard? Camera?

We needed this 2.5 years ago, my phone has pretty much replaced the PSP as far as music, movies, photos and internet go. I only use my PSP for games now. And with the new firmware version at the end of June, it might replace my PSP altogether.

I love my PSP, had it since launch.

I'm pissed about the cam and GPS though. I thought there might be a couple months delay before releasing in the US, but this is ridiculous. I should have just imported. Oh well, live and learn... at least it's finally coming to US.

How about some strong games. I'm all for a versatile portable gaming machine, but if there are no games I'm better off with a top quality cellphone.

Hardcore gamers, PSP is not for you. Not unless you're into the homebrew thing, and/or pirating emulators.
