So, you say you're a fan of unscrupulous activities and/or top-down shooters? Boy, have we got news for you! A demo for Raiden Fighters Aces has just been dropped onto the Japanese Xbox Live Marketplace. And just in time, the old "imaginary Japanese XBL account" trick is back in full effect.
So, what can you expect? Well, a decidedly old-school, top-down shooter experience for starters. But, perhaps more noticeably, the most aggressive soundtrack we've ever heard in a game. Seriously, it's the sonic equivalent of being repeatedly gut-punched by Ving Rhames. This doesn't seem like the kind of thing that will come stateside, so you may want to give it a whirl while you can.

I *love* Raiden Fighters. Too bad I don't have a 360 - I guess I'll just have to stick with MAME for the moment.

I remember downloading a trailer for it on the American XBLM, so who knows and it will probably appear on this side of the Earth.

Raiden Fighters is my all time favorite shmup...
In highschool I probably put $4,000 worth of quarters into the machine that was only worth $400 total!
Too bad I don't have a 360, or it would be a day 1 purchase.

!!!! I just played the first game and OMG WTF happened to this Genre?! We need more like this, sure Geometry wars is nice and all but your stuck in a box still and there's no power ups. Aegis wing is nice, the power up don't stick although they're pretty nice when attached to more than one person. Omega Five and Triggerheart are nice I guess, but I'd rather a ship thats upgradeable. But I digress, this game is awesome! I'll be playing the demo all day tomorrow

I've never tried this, but can the game be completely purchased and played on an American account after downloading on the Japanese account?
