Amazon.com has a little sale going on for those who haven't jumped on the Rock Band tour bus yet. Cheapy D and his frugal army point the way to savings, with both the PS3 and Xbox 360 Special Editions priced for $148 (which include the game, drums, guitar and mic). The $22 saved won't even come back to bite back on shipping with the use of "Super Saver Shipping."
For those who've already picked up the game and are just in the market for the drum set, the normally $80 peripheral is currently $54 on Xbox 360 and $69 for PS3. Feel free to use the money saved on some Rock Band DLC.

I don't have this game yet. I've played it, and it's alright I guess. I never really dreamt of growing up and being a rock star when I was little, though. That, and it's not really my taste in music. Add on the price tag, and voilá, you have a Joystiq reader that doesn't own Rock Band.

Doesn't beat the deal I got. Some kid was going to trade his in to the GameStop where I work, so rather than letting him do that, I gave him $80 for the complete set and an extra guitar.

GameStop doesn't take drum trade-ins for whatever reason. He would have gotten: $13 for the game disc, $20 per guitar, and like $5 for the mic.

I'm from Australia ;________________;
According to the rest of the world, I'm redundant, so I don't have rock band yet.
You hurted my feelings.

Look to Wal-Mart.com for the $54 drums. If you're willing to wait, have them shipped Site-to-Store for free. You'll end up paying tax, though.
