Haze 'officially' coming May 22

Can it be true this time? Ubisoft has told MCV that Free Radical's Haze is expected to hit retailers May 22. The perpetually delayed, ambiguously exclusive shooter was original set to come out last December.

The above picture isn't actually from Haze, but a snapshot of our good friend Jonas, who has been waiting for the game since it was announced and has resorted to screaming into his homemade Haze mask every time it gets delayed. Please don't make him don the helmet again, Ubisoft.

I just talked to ubisoft they said they made a mistake, its going to be later but you can pick up Haze 2: Hazier on May 24th.

Is there anyone that is actually excited for this? I just can't seem to care about this game no matter how hard I try. Maybe I'll pick it up after it's price drops or when it's on the 360 so I can play with my Live friends.

No. I lost interest in it while it was still going to be on all platforms and they decided to try and generate hype for their game by trashing another FPS...a FPS that it will never come close to even selling like.

Please find another comment of mine where I've "hated" something that was on the PS3 until it was on the 360. I own a PS3 you idiot! The only other problem I've had even related to the PS3 is GT5P. So please back up your claim with a link to a comment of mine that supports your lie.

This is a day one launch game for me thank you, I hope this isnt like Rainbow six because they didnt rush this one with all the delays so I hope Ubi doesnt screw this one up.

I'm not a big FPSer. Hell, my personal collection of games only currently contains a single FPS - Timesplitters 2.

I don't mind waiting for my next FPS. It's MGS4 and FF13 that I want now.

I used to be the same way about fps' on consoles and only buy them on PC. got tired of upgrading and the console fps's are becoming comparable.

You know, this game is looking to be a new "Red Faction" to me. All the hype, all the cool features, and a disappointing experience.

Probably the only one who IS interested (i.e., not an xbot slimeball trying to spread bad vibes about a game that dared to go PS3 timed exclusive) and will probably preorder. Decent graphics, a stab at some new game mechanics /story and hopefully the same good gameplay as in Timesplitters. And if it actually turns out to be not very good, well, at least I would be supporting an attempt to create something different rather than a Halo 3 with shoddy 640p graphics, stupid story and the same old tired gameplay as we saw years back in Halo 1.

And which bring me to my next question - all those commenting on the game being "generic" can you name some shooter titles in this gen that were NOT generic (even CoD4 was a generic FPS, just well made). I bet none of you bought Lost Planet or Halo 3 right?

Amazing how many of you pessimists can hate on a game before it even launches. Probably the same group that said the Wii would never sell. I'll give Haze a fair shake when it comes out!
