New (off-screen) Resident Evil 5 footage
19
It's nothing to get too excited about honestly. First of all, the entire video is in Japanese, which makes sense considering it was taken from a Capcom 25th anniversary DVD found in the latest Famitsu. That said, we do get to take a look at Chris Redfield taking out the latest batch of not-zombies in Resident Evil 5. Honestly, it's probably a good thing that most of the footage was taken off-screen, as the sheer size of Chris Redfield's muscles might be overpowering in high definition. Seriously, it looks like he's smuggling T-bones in the back of his shirt (thick T-bones). Check out the new footage after the break.

Wow, I really hope they tone down his muscles. Enough with the steroid infused protagonists. This isn't 1993.

He makes some great points in the video, especially about the game physics. One thing though, he says the Xbox 360 version will feature more levels than the PS3 version because of how much time the PS3 takes to program.

Richard, I'm a little concerned. First Turok's "bulging shoulders" now this... What's with all the beef references? You think you just want to come out and say something to everyone? Hmm? ;)

hmm...the game looks promising so far, but i'm not sure how much i like how closely it resembles re4 in terms of character movement. the way the africans swing their axes, get hit with bullets, and fall to the ground look almost identical to the way the los ganados do the same actions in re4. but then again, it may have just been done so well in re4 that they felt no need to change anything.
regardless, i can't wait for this title to ship.

Hahaha!
Richard's first draft:
"His back is huge! It looks like a T-bone.... grilled on an open flame to sizzling perfection. With a side of garlic potatoes, salad and all the bread you can eat for just $14.99 at Black Angus."

@Zebra:
More like
"Look at his muscles. I'm so fucking gay that I just want to lick them all over."
Though it's not as bad as Dustin posting "yummy" on a picture of a big muscley viking.

AM I the only one who's still going to feel uncomfortable shooting at underfed Africans while Beefsteak struts around displaying his rippling, USDA-approved free-range back muscles? And the enemies have the same "stumble to knees and die" animation....and it's identical to the one from RE4...
