Well, by "five" maps, we really should say "two," because one is a new co-op map and two are re-lit versions of already available maps. But three maps for $10 seems to be the standard now, so we're not complaining. No, what puzzles us is this: We know it's not one of the big guns, but is anybody playing Turok online? Is this a gem we missed out on?
Side note from that same release: Expect the PC version of the game to arrive on April 22 for $50.

(Although, it's amazing how many 'hardcore' gamers don't seem to understand that.)
It's good on the PS3 since theres not much good to compare it against.
It's very bad on the 360 since it's the lower end of ratings.

It's more like a kidney stone than a gem, guys. Remember that scene in the first Jurassic Park where Laura Dern sticks her arm all the way up to the shoulder in a giant steaming pile of dinosaur poo? That's a good metaphor for Turok.

You sir are an ass. Turok is an incredible game. This perticular interation brings shame to the Son of Stone but if he were to hear you say that he'd weep a tear of justice before stomping on you while mounted on his dinosaur.

Yeah ... maybe a couple of you actually played through all of the game and played a good chunk of the online, but I'm betting most of you who insult this game have absolutely no clue, and base all your opinions on forum posts.
This game is actually extremely underrated. It's not the deepest, most unique FPS on the planet, but it's a lot of fun and the multiplayer is surprisingly good. It also provides a great challenge - something most gamers can't handle nowadays.
Oh, and to those of you who mention the 'three' people who bought this game - it was announced today that it broke the one million sales mark. Don't believe me? Google it. Which means it'll almost surely be getting sequel treatment - whether you like it or not :)
Don't post your opinions unless they're actually informed.

I played through the entire campaign and quite a bit of the multiplayer...I feel this review is pretty fair and competent but let me know what you think.
The review is on a messageboard so you will need to scroll the page down a bit.

As I said - get back to me when you actually play a significant portion of the game.
Josh - great review. Not just because I agree with it (very much so, actually). You actually sound unbiased. Good stuff.

I refuse to admit any other turok game exists other than that one.
