Unrelated, but when did you guys change the banner to include a DS Lite instead of a regular DS?

And why a black one?

Just yesterday, actually, and black fits the color scheme better, wouldn't you say?

Yeah, I have to agree.

Before, I was thinking that since white is the "original" color of the DS Lite, and to keep the two Nintendo Fanboy sites consistent, it might be better to use a white DS Lite.

But if I look at DS Fanboy, it has a gray background, and a black bar right above the banner, which is the opposite of Wii Fanboy's color scheme. So in that sense, using a black DS Lite looks better.

Oh, hey, I just noticed...Why doesn't Wii Fanboy have a "Joystiq presents" thing?

it technically, does, actually, they just don't use a graphic for it. you can still click in the empty space to jump back to Joystiq

I played Kirby's Dreamland 2 and Wario Land to death. I perfect both of them. I got a castle on the mood in Wario Land. :P

WoooooOO Wario Land! I played a lot of super mario land 1-3. Must admit that I don't have any of the others on the list (wouldn't mind more kirby though).

Mole Mania has long been a favorite of mine, way back to the GB Pocket days. Thanks for giving it a little love.

I loved Rolans Curse 2, way better than the first game in the series. The multiple playable characters were awesome.

Ah, Dreamland 2, I used to have that game, so much fun and it was real difficult to get to the real last boss. Love me some Tetris Attack as well.

Love Wario Land and played it to death back in the day (never got the best castle, though). It's the game that made me a fan of Wario, and one of the reasons I want to see Game Boy games on Virtual Console.

Loved Mario Land 2. Childhood memories of playing video games mostly go to that one.

....Wow, I actually own/beat all of those :3

My copy of Mole Mania was played second most recently, with Myths and Monsters being played most recently for some extra face-time with Pit before the Brawling began...

...So where's my playable Muddy Mole in Smash Bros, hmm?

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening

This is pretty much the best Zelda game there is but it is so forgotten. This was actually the first game I owned when I got my brick(Read: Original Gameboy) when I was around 6 years old.

I loved Kirby's Adventure 2 as a kid, although Mole Mania never did much for me. But for the love of God why is Donkey Kong '94 not on there? Best Game Boy game ever!

For what it is worth Street Fighter II on GB actually was pretty damn good considering the hardware limitations. It had most the players and maps, and they locked down the controls quite well onto just the B/A buttons provided. The characters unlike the SNK (Takara) stuff were very large and well detailed, animated just as smooth(low frame but managable.) Honestly though the import Samurai Shodown 3 was a real masterpiece. Off fighting though Revenge of the Gator pinball was a sweet deal early in the day...and the portable version of MegaMan2 (which used MM2 and 3 robots/stages) was awesome. If you don't mind a GBC game put in, Dragon's Lair was a technical marvel. DL was the laserdisc game in 2bit(8 colors) mode with minimal audio and 8 moves from 2 of the scenes cut out...but it was essentially intact and just as evil which is freaky for a simple 4MB cart.

yeah, I used to own an original GB... the only games I ever played on the thing were the pokemon games... have every single one for GB/C...

Once I got the color, there was one other game I played on it... pretty good for what it was too...

Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite!

it was quite a solid game for the time, and could still hold up to most of my GBA collection. (which is now over 50)

...what? I really like that hamster! XP

What about the epitome of Wario Land games, Wario Land 2?

I never liked 1, though i never owned it, i felt it was too hard, but that was because i got used to the 2nd game first, where Wario is immortal (which he claimed in the Wario Land 3 instruction manual: "I am immortal! But not invincible...")
