What is this Guitar Hero 3, 4, and Aerosmith? Is it like a dumbed down version of Rock Band?

No, I think you mean "something you generation will never experience, either".
Real rock would be Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Fats Domino, Bill Haley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and even Screamin' Jay Hawkins.
Damn kids these days...

Naw, REAL rock is Mighty Thag the Mammoth-Slayer banging his head against a slab of granite, while Grug the Howler shrieked his lungs out. That scared away the saber-toothed tigers in my day, ya young whipper-snappers. There ain't been no REAL rock since the Paleolithic era. That's why they called it the Stone Age, by gum!

Maybe they should include that bizarre "ba-bwaamp-BWWAAAR" thing that was at the end of Pyromania. Not sure how many people listened to the whole album, but I remember that odd coda with a certain degree of fondness. I always wanted to call up and request it on radio stations.

Yeah, I remember that. I always thought it was kinda cool. Not really sure why though, now that I think about it.

This is mostly awesome. I can't help but be disappointed that their "Animal" will be in it, though--that pretty much guarantees Pearl Jam's "Animal" is a no-go. I was really hoping for that.

But if it was a "Bitchin' Camaro," then he'd be going to see the Dead Milkmen. Which would probably be better, anyway.

Acid wash is all I wear and I've always got a mullet. I'll be doing 95 down the interstate in my camaro, drinking a case of beer, and rocking out to foreigner and styx to get myself fired up.

Will it come with a special add-on peripheral for the drums, so the actual Def Leppard drummer can play the game?

RB dodged that bullet. I thought that I was going to read about how Harmonix decided to stick crappy 80s hair-bands into a good game.
