First Guitar Hero: Aerosmith tracks include 'Draw the Line,' 'Sweet Emotion'
Though we were briefly distracted by mention of some other bands set to feature in Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Activision has reminded us that the rhythmography will, in fact, include Aerosmith tunes. Gamespot reports that of the 40-plus songs in the game, 60 percent will be devoted to the increasingly decrepit crooners.
Ah, but age is just a number and fans aren't likely to care when they start pressing plastic in rhythm to these confirmed numbers:
Expect further songs to be revealed at an excruciatingly slow pace as the game's June release walks this way.

Tyler looks better when he's Joan Rivers.

I've been an Aerosmith fan for about 20 years now, and I don't understand all the hatin'.
It's nice to see the few tracks listed so far are from before 1980. I'd also like to see "Nobody's Fault" from Rocks (1976) and "Movin' Out" from Aerosmith (1973)
Mighty Healthy @ Mar 28th 2008 8:31PM
Same here. After reading the GI article, and trying not to get giddy over the game, I can't help but be interested in it, both as a fan, and someone who's interested in the GH series.
As long as Dream On, Dude Looks Like A Lady, and Cryin' are in the tracklist, I'm there.
tmacairjordan87 @ Mar 28th 2008 8:41PM
the hate is because most of their hits when they re-emerged are more pop sounding than rock, and very very few aerosmith songs are even remotely challenging on guitar.
I don't think they could fix that unless they give it the ridiculous guitar hero 3 treatment, but that doesn't make it fun just needlessly frustrating.
Mr.ESC @ Mar 28th 2008 8:57PM
As an Aerosmith fan I don't understand the hating yet I know some of their songs are in fact bad but they could just copy paste the songs from the greatest hits collection into this game.
Just let me play my favorite Aersomith songs and I'll be happy.
GatorSax2010 @ Mar 28th 2008 9:48PM
I was just thinking today how much I want to play "Nobody's Fault." I award you ten points for good taste.

It's the kids.
idcrash @ Mar 28th 2008 8:03PM
Not looking forward to playing a whole bunch of crap when there are so many songs out there that are much more guitar oriented.
Mischa @ Mar 30th 2008 5:47AM
ARE YOU RETARDED?!?!?!?!?!
GibGirl @ Mar 28th 2008 8:09PM
Guitar Hero? You mean Activision's going to continue beating that horse? I guess if you hit it hard enough it keeps twitching...
vanuslux @ Mar 28th 2008 8:27PM
I'd beat a dead horse too if money came out every time I gave it a good thwack with my thwack-em stick.
Kangstarr @ Mar 28th 2008 8:54PM
LOL

Sweet Emotion in GH: Aerosmith.
Surprise of the century.
Deck @ Mar 28th 2008 9:14PM
They just should support GH3 and offer all this as DLC.
Stop whoring out GH into so many games, just make it DLC.
eviljedi117 @ Mar 31st 2008 12:35PM
Because ive already spend enough on DLC to buy an entire game and instead have maybe 20 tracks
Bob @ Mar 28th 2008 9:18PM
Does Activision have access to both catalogs of Aerosmith songs? They were on Columbia in their early career, but switched to Geffen in the '80s -- the reason they've never been able to do a comprehensive box set or greatest hits collection. Since the music named so far is only early stuff, I'm wondering whether they had a problem with the Geffen catalog...
anjuna @ Mar 29th 2008 4:40AM
I wish they put Dream On in there. Great song.
Reuben @ Mar 30th 2008 1:32AM
Since "Dream On" was released for free for GHIII, I doubt that they'd use it again for this one.
jsn @ Mar 29th 2008 9:19AM
This game is going to be as boring as the last 20 years of Aerosmith's career...
tc @ Mar 29th 2008 10:31AM
Dear jsn,
As winner of the daily competition of the 29th of March please find enclosed one (1) internets.

Is that Trent Reznor on the guitar in the Guitar Hero picture?
Mischa @ Mar 30th 2008 5:48AM
One thing I have to give Guitar Hero and Rock Band credit for is the fact that I now have to admit that I like a lot of the same music that my mother does. Who knew that I would one day say "hey let's play that Boston track again", or even "by god, I may actually be excited for this Aerosmith game".
Thanks Harmonix/Activision, for making me even less cool.
Mother Popcorn @ Apr 8th 2008 11:12PM
I'm sitting here reading some ridiculous comments about Aerosmith's lack of guitar oriented songs... a). You've got to be kidding me... and b). When you see the final track list, you'll be eating humble pie...guaranteed...
Words of advice, be patient, and refrain from making ignorant statements until you've actually seen the final track list... Trust in knowing that that the hard core Aerosmith fans will be in their glory...and those that are expecting a Geffen era ballad bonanza will be disappointed...
