I could maybe understand if they stole the PSP and it just happened to belong to a seven year old cancer patient...but to steal someone's medication and medical records? That takes a special kind of scum. I never thought I'd say this, but...fry (inject?) 'em up, Texas. Yeehaw.

This story is much worse.

The law should seriously just put these teens to death. What positive benefit could they ever have on society? Trust me, the will end up killing a productive member of soceity and ruining many peoples lives. Kill them now and save millions of dollars in tax dollars and countless human suffering.

It extends way beyond that too, over here in the UK, there are more and more murders for stupid if not 'no' reason whatsoever.

'I feel like stabbing someone today', its gotten so bad in some countries a criminal doesn't even need a motive any more, its hard to believe that you can end someones life without even a second thought.

Or....I want that, so I am going to take it. I shouldn't have to work hard for something, I want it, so I will take it. And if I have to take it over that person's dead body....too bad for them, they should have killed me first.

It is the primal instinct that ancient civilizations had before humans lived in societies. Pretty crazy to think that the more advanced we become, the more some people revert back to those uncivilized times.

These are some of the worst stories I have run across. It makes me seriously ill just to read them. I can't imagine how mentally f'd up these people are to be able to do this to another human being. I couldn't even imagine performing something like torture to a mouse.....I hate people.

Its not just a good ol beating, its love and attention, no point beating your child if you're ot giving four times as much love and attention that you are beatings.

I was brought up with proper dicipline, but also love an attention.

These kids may have been beaten, but struck back with claims they suffered child abuse.

It may just be that society tries to hard to suppress these "primal instinct". For instance: If someone is being a complete dick, cursing in public at disney, or something like that, you go to jail if you give him a well deserved punch in the face.

50 Years or so ago, you'd be considered a good civic servant.

Now, because regular people feel they can't fight back without risk of suit or jailtime, that kind of builds up inside them. Some people deal with it. Some people snap.

A little Off topic, but those are my thoughts on the subject.

Interesting. In all seriousness, if the kid had died as a result of not having his Meds, the thieves would have been charged with murder if they were caught. It's called the Felony Murder Doctrine.

Or helping the less fortunate, who can't afford to go to college, anything other then splashing his cash around the clubs.

In response to your comment about how its gotten to where a criminal doesn't need a motive to do something and doing it for stupid if not no reason whatsoever, someone needs to tell jacky boy that. But, then again, he will just use the "it was teh videogames!" case even though it didn't factor into it

Personally I don't care about this story. I don't know the person so *meh*

I think the true sickness lies not in the fact that these people were "targeting" a 7-year-old cancer patient (because all likelihood is that they weren't), but in the fact that our society has reached a point where literally everyone is victimized. It's pathetic that these thieves are so self-absorbed and oblivious to the world around them that they don't even realize they're torturing an unfortunate child.

It is our blindness that is terrible.

From what I understand my grandfather died from infection during surgery when my dad was a teenager. My mom's parents died from cancer due to their smoking. My mom's sister died of womb cancer. Sympathies man.

I find it more insulting that this has gotten so much play. The theft had nothing to do with the kid having cancer, and isn't any more or less tragic because it was the day before his birthday.

Seriously, this isn't indicative of a horrible society as much as it’s indicative of a horribly sensationalist news media.

If the kid didn't have cancer this would never have been picked up by news outlets. This stuff happens everyday; it doesn't become any more or less tragic because the kid had cancer.

The simple fact is that bald kids get more hits than healthy ones, and people are using this kid.

Okay. That sucks to be this kid, but I gotta get this off of my chest.

This better not be some lame attempt to get some free schwag from Sony. Just because some guy got his Autographed XBOX accidentally ruined by Microsoft, doesn't mean that people are allowed to make up stories just so they can sucker some company or gamers into giving them free schwag.

With that off my chest, I will now resume feeling sorry for the kid whose PSP got stolen.
