Guitar Hero: On Tour grip works with DS Phat
We have to admit that the first time we saw the elegant, though not particularly guitar-like peripheral Activision had created for the DS' Guitar Hero: On Tour, we were concerned. It wasn't the missing orange button (we're fans of anything getting easier, whether it's fake guitar playing or cutting things), no, we were more worried that owners of the original DS (the DS Phat, on the streets) would be excluded from the fun by their system's girth.
But now, Activision has dispelled our fears with the announcement that the Guitar Grip will work with both of the models. Now, Phatties, as for actually being able to see the notes in anything but perfect lighting, we're afraid you're on your own on that one.

So THAT'S how you use the vector tools in Illustrator... truly their design team is pushing the boundaries of "generic tat patterns applies to other things."
I cannot wait to see their barbed wire armband stickers....

I'd love to play this game, but I have to cut some stuff out of the newspaper...

I just read the most hilarious "Family Circus" comic, in which PJ misprounounces "spaghetti and meatballs" with hilarious results. Thought you might want to add that one to your collection.

Every time I read Family Circus I go blind and piss blood for two weeks. That 'comic' is worse than the Holocaust.
unfriendly_cat @ Mar 31st 2008 12:40PM
This looks totally rad, I've been into Guitar Hero since like October.

Hey Jerkface, I would suggest you check out or google 'Dysfunctional Family Circus'

So when does "Guitar Hero: Sell out Edition" come out?
Oh wait, that is the Aerosmith game. Nevermind.

And here I thought it was Guitar hero III. Maybe jiggly Axe bodyspray girls and a Pontiac Video shoot scene isn't sold out enough....

I didn't even notice the in game adds.

Who still uses their DS Phat, I have both the lite and the phat and I have been using the lite ever since. Though, the DS Phat has better sounding speakers...
Grant @ Mar 31st 2008 11:12AM
awesome, so no matter what version of DS you own, you can still look like a tool!
Markez @ Mar 31st 2008 11:14AM
If I recall correctly, the last thread announcing this game and the silly plug-in was met with mostly positive comments of people looking forward to the game. Looks like so far people have come to their senses. I shuddered at the point in that goofy commercial where those cool teenagers 'picked' the touch screen?
Alright, maybe I was shuddering during the whole thing, but you get the idea of where I'm going with this.
baby sea tuna @ Mar 31st 2008 11:17AM
That part where the guitar catches on fire, and the dude has to blow it out=*facepalm*
murray b @ Mar 31st 2008 11:52AM
how in the... exactly how do you play this game. I can't figure out how you hold it, strum, yet still be able to see the screen? then blow into the mic to extinguish flames, or sign some girls shirt in the middle of your set?
Alzheimers @ Mar 31st 2008 12:42PM
I just hope the make it reverseable (with a screen flip option) so that anyone who can't play the right-handed way isn't SOL.

'Now, Phatties, as for actually being able to see the notes in anything but perfect lighting, we're afraid you're on your own on that one.'
Pff. i have a phat and can see it fine in all lighting conditions where its appropriate. I dont care that its hard to see in harsh sunlight because in harsh sunlight id rather enjoy the scenery than play on a console.
Megaton Punchy @ Mar 31st 2008 1:19PM
YES!! Now every DS owner can have fun playing Accordion Hero.

LAWL PHATIES!

Woo hoo, now I can play a game I still won't buy for my DS! (good thing too, because if I couldn't play a game I wouldn't buy for my DS then I'd have to go out and upgrade to a DS Lite JUST SO I could play a game that I still don't plan to buy).

You're confusing the DS with the GBA.
