New games this week: Call of Duty 4 Game of the Year Edition ... edition

Ahh, can you smell that? That's the smell of a new quarter, when companies realize they have three whole months before they have to report their profits again and so, like a lackluster Econ major, they decide not to worry about money until the last week. To that end, we've got almost nothing to report in the way of releases this week.

It's so bad that our featured game, Call of Duty 4, actually came out in 2007, but we figured that the devil we knew was better than the Monkey King: The Legend Begins we didn't. (Note: We confirmed with Activision and Infinity Ward that Call of Duty 4: Game of the Year Edition will be released for PlayStation 3 at a later date.) Check the full list after the break.

I know at first glance Monkey King looks like shovelware, but it's actually Starfish's Cloud Master/Chuuka Taisen sequel. It looks like it might be good.

Why??? The game is already made, right? My poor PS3, always a bridesmaid never a bride. Uhhh, I dont think that works well. How bout... my poor PS3, it always gets treated like a stepchild? Ahhh whatever go buy this game!! Amazing graphics, one helluva campaign and the best MP game on the market.

I slightly like shooters, but I don't own a PS3 or 360.

Eh... pretty awful new release week, but at least it's better than nothing. I'm wondering what this GOTY edition of CoD4 has or it's the same. I'll appreciate if someone tells me because I haven't found out.

Also, just got Advance Wars:DoR yesterday when I went looking for a Wii at my local Costco. Pretty fun game, seeing that I'm a sucker for strategy games, but I haven't tried it online yet, which looks fun. I think this game will entertain me for a very long time.

Sweet. I'll be picking up CoD4 this week. The reason I didn't get it before was because I thought it was just your standard WWII type game. Not a big fan of them really.
I found out it wasn't a WWII game about a couple months ago and just never got around to picking it up. Just when I had an off week to go grab it a couple weeks ago, ran into the GOTY info on ol' 'stiq here. Been anxious for a couple weeks now! The new DLC maps are free with this version, correct?
