Sega shuts down Korean offices, cancels Yokohama arcade plans

The "global business optimization" will also affect Sega Sammy in Japan, where plans for a $330m arcade in Yokohama have been canceled, after an initial $227m investment in the purchase of land. At fault is the coin-operated amusement side of the company's business, which is suffering in Japan at the hands of the home console market. At least Sega Sammy continues to hold its head up high, denying any potential for buy-out.

I used to hate sega, because they started the nintendo=kiddy marketing.
But now I feel sad for them, like an old rival finally vanquished.

There is no evidence of Sega cutting corners. The article reads that the losses are down to Sammy'a pachinko business. It also reads "Sega’s home console business remains healthy".

I've been saying this since day one of Sammy's takeover of Sega.That this is nothing more than Aruze/SNK part 2.
Wait for Yuji Naka and Yu Suzuki to buy back Sega after Sammy kills it off.

What confuses me is you don't see any Guitar Hero arcade machines, besides the ones at game industry conventions - which are free due to being interactive advertisements.
