Be sure to check your teeth for cavities after this post, as Square Enix will bring an extra dose of saccharine sweetness to the Wii this summer by way of Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon. The game, designed for both RPG enthusiasts and fans who spend their nights imagining dressing up the company's iconic yellow birds, will ship on July 8, and its asking price of just $39.99 won't leave your wallet looking for a phoenix down.
According to Squeenix, this overdose of cute will find Final Fantasy stalwarts Cid and Chocobo hunting for treasure while trying to solve the mystery of a strange town full of people who have lost their memories. The game will even take the cute online via Wi-Fi card battles featuring a darling "3D pop-up book style." Kweh!

I think it's another one of those Chunsoft Mystery Dungeon games, much like Chocoboo's Mystery Dungeon / 2 on PlayStation, or Nightmare of Druaga on PS2.

Correct, it is a Mystery Dungeon game although the Chocobo series is developed by Square-Enix with only supervision from Chun Soft. Chun Soft has Shiren the Wanderer 3 coming out for the Wii in the summer in Japan for the more hardcore dungeon fans, as the Chocobo games tend to be on the much, much easier side (until the post-game dungeons, that is).

I hope they let you keep experience. I only managed to get through that game through sheer slogging through it against many tougher opponents.

Wow Wii gets all the crap Square Enix games no one cares about and real gaming systems such as PSP and PS3 get actual games people care about.

Nice try, Howl. If you want to meet some real quality trolls, stick around until killjebus and Curmeo show up. Amateur.

*sigh*
Some of us prefer Sony platforms and are known for it. Even though I was amused on the occassions when I've been called a Wii or 360 fanboy but still. And anytime someone like Curmeo or Howl show up, we get dragged down by association....
le sigh
