Just in case you were worried about not being able to grab the new "Still Alive" Rock Band downloadable content for free before it's promotional period (you procrastinating bum), you can rest easy now. Major Nelson just confirmed that Jonathan Coulton's "Still Alive" will forever be a free DLC download off the XBLM. That means future Rock Band purchasers will be able to get their GLaDOS fix for free, whenever they get around to downloading it. Applause to Microsoft, EA, Harmonix and Valve for working together to make this happen. Teamwork FTW!
Rock Band 'Still Alive' DLC will always be free

Are you kidding me?! Do you have any Idea how much better the halo theme is?! Still Alive SUCKS. Sure it was interesting to listen through it the first time in Portal, but as an actual song... repetitive, boring, annoying. When I played through it in Rock Band I couldn't believe that I had wasted my time downloading it. Still Alive is a joke. There is no point playing it in Rock Band. The Halo theme "pwns" it.

Zero Down, don't be a homophobe. That said, seeing Dustin dancing on a float would be pretty awesome.
Good times...

I disagree with Zero Down, but not on Dustin. Dustin's pretty fucking gay.
Still Alive is pretty fucking great.

My only problem with this is that wikipedia showed that there were going to be some System of a Down songs for today. I don't mind them being delayed, but one free song doesn't satiate my want. Plus, regardless of how much I liked Portal...I could really care less about this song.

Is the song sung by the girl or the guy who made the song? I'm pretty sure if the guy sang the song in the game, it wouldn't be as popular. So why isn't the voice actress on tour? Some bands are only one hit wonders, this is hers!

You want some irony? I download the Still Alive track for Rock Band, load it up, get ready to play and then immediately before I can start playing, get the Red Ring of Death. "Still Alive" my ass. Oh well, guess I get to play it in a month or so.
