For every story we post about Second Life's various troubles, there's always another story about one company or another arriving late to the SL bandwagon. So, following up our news of Phillip Rosedale's resignation as CEO, we have word that Samsung will be including technology to run Second Life on its line of smartphones.
The technology is being shown off at the CTIA wireless event this week in Las Vegas, and will allow users to access the 3D world of Second Life, as well as communicate with in-game avatars via text and SMS. The application is due to launch on Samsung phones running Softboard software in the second half of this year. Huzzah?

This is very...very weird. I was watching CSI New York about an hour ago, and they had a thing where someone was on Second Life turning into the devil and basically making anyone that plays any MMO cry, when Lt.Dan suddenly said "Look for anybody using a smartphone!". I scoffed, NONSENSE! I said. Shenanigans I called!

Reading and posting in a blog isn't the same as spending countless hours everyday immersed in Second Life.

I make 30k usd in Second Life a year and project making 70-100k this year selling content in SL. Real money is real life to me and to tell to the truth I like waking up everyday not worrying about having to work, it helps me enjoy "RL" more. What I think you dont understand is that this is the future web. The future form of commerce and a great way to communicate with people around the world. I'm sure there is even a place there for someone like you ;).

Take some sleep, come back to this post in the morning, and start pulling your hair out at the sudden exclamation of your comment's horror.
