Alone in the Dark delayed until June
Eurogamer reports that Atari's technically impressive horror, Alone in the Dark, will be missing its previously planned May release, instead creeping out of its dingy corner the following month. The Xbox 360, PC, Wii and PS2 versions are now scheduled to arrive in the US on June 24th, with Europe getting them a tad earlier on June 20th. The PlayStation 3 edition suffers no such delay, but that's one of the benefits of having a nebulous, "sometime in 2008" release date.
Atari and developer Eden are reportedly utilizing the extra time to further polish the game, no doubt to match the shine emitted by one of Atari's new heads, Phil Harrison.

This is what pisses me off sometimes. People complain if a game is bad because it was rushed to meet its original release date. On the other hand, people complain if a game is delayed so its not total crap. It would be nice if games met their release date and were awesome but its ok to delay a game to make it better.

So Duke Nukem Forever should be the greatest game ever created? No flaws... If they manage that awesome...
PS I'm not one of the ones that complains a game is delayed...

I don't complain if a game gets delayed, but I can't say that I'm not disappointed, especially in a game that holds as much potential as this.

I said it before in the Gran Turismo 5 article. There's a difference between giving a game enough time (like with Brawl or GTAIV), and just taking too much time (Twilight Princess, this, GT5)

I have a lot of games to catch up on so this won't hurt too bad. I'm on disc 4 of Lost Odyssey. Was hoping to beat it before the new CoD4 maps were released, but not going to happen.
I still have yet to buy Condemned 2. I hear it's at Game Crazy for $35 brand new. I may go pick that up today.

How is Lost Oddyssey. Epic?
I just got Mass Effect. Its pretty cool but there is a lot of framerate problems.

I don't think people begrudge delays because of the delay itself or because they don't want the game to be polished. I think the moans are because delays are typically bad signs for the overall product.
