I'm going to go with FF 3. It presents some real challenges without feeling cheap. I've been hoping you guys would do a giveaway on this one.

For now it is Rocket Slime, but it will undoubtedly be The World Ends With You when it comes out at the end of the month ^-^

So far I don't own any Square-ENix games for the DS, but I'd love to get my hands on this one. So I'll just have to say Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates is my favorite.

I would go with Final Fantasy III. Because sometimes you really just want an unforgiving RPG that doesn't hold your hand, or keep you from dying within 10 minutes of starting a new game.

Hands down the only square enix DS game I've played so that's an automatic win
Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings

For now, I'm going to say that DQM: Joker is my favorite Square Enix game at the moment...if I win this I'll see if this takes over :)

My DS catalog is fairly slim at the moment, and I don't currently own a game from Square Enix. But I'd love for y'all to change that!

The only DS Squenix game I've actually played is FF XII: Revenant Wings so I guess that's my favourite. Even though I hate it. xP I'm sure Crystal Chronicles would be my new favourite, though. I'm one of the few people who actually enjoyed the first one.

Favourite Squenix DS game proper: FFIII, but I like FFTA more and I've only played that on my DS. Does that one count?
Posted: Apr 3rd 2008 10:08AM (Unverified) said
Gotta be Final Fantasy III....its the only one I got (or played).

My favorite Square-Enix game on the DS is Chocobo Tales. It's just super-adorable and perfect for some light, fun pick up and play gaming.

Replying to myself to confirm that Chocobo Tales is indeed my favorite SE game for the DS, although FFIII is also pretty fun.

I don't think I've played that many Square Enix games. I'd have to say Final Fantasy III :)

Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings, hands down. real-time beats turn-based combat. ^_^

My favorite DS game from Square Enix is the the only one I own, Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime. I am currently playing through it, and really enjoy the game world and lighthearted gameplay. Of course, I need another game to play after this one, and Ring of Fates would be a great choice!

Don't own any, so I can't say.

Front Mission, all the way! I hope they bring us FM: 2089, too, but I won't be holding my breath.

Chocobo Tales is all I have, but it was quite fun.

I actually liked Mario Hoops until the computer became impossible to beat...oh, and until the control scheme rendered my left hand an unusable frozen claw for two days...
Posted: Apr 3rd 2008 10:33AM (Unverified) said
either Mario Hoops or FF3.

My favorite DS game from them right now is definitely Children of Mana (although they only published it). It's definitely one of the better RPG's on the system.

Final Fantasy, the original.

I played Chocobo Tales, and it was alright, but hoenstly Ring of Fates fixed everything that was wrong with the GCN version.

I have quite a few SE games for my DS, but I'd have to give the win to Final Fantasy III.
It pushes the hardware to new levels and is one of the few RPGs that challenges the player rather than coddling them.

For myself, I find it difficult to choose any of the new games from Square-Enix, so I will go with Front Mission 1st. At the current time, Square Enix has done good work with keeping Squaresoft-made nostalgic titles with newer, system-focused enhancements, such as touch-control and wi-fi multiplayer abilities. Front Mission has had a slight overhaul, from its' 95 debut, because of the console's stronger graphical output. The original story is intact, the additional story is well-placed, and now the professional localization(which makes sense!), makes this title a tough SRPG contender compared to some of its' DS-only, genre brothers. Namely the anime-heavy Luminous Arc and a formidable opponent, Hoshigami Remix. Front Mission is an enjoyable title for this type of game. My only gripe is the lack of a certain fight that should have happened between the characters that be.
USN FOR LIFE! BURN OCU :P
Still, I did play alot of the SoM-type games, so I would not mind seeing how much stuffing I get out of a Moogle before he attempts to Kupo-Kick me off of his flutterbackside.

Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime hands-down! That is such a fun, fun game. Hopefully the sequel (and there better be one) has online play.

I actually really enjoyed Heroes of Mana for what it was. It certainly wasn't a great RTS, but for a handheld it was pretty good. Though I haven't played Revenant Wings to compare yet. Heroes is also the only game in the whole "World of Mana" project that hasn't been a big disappointment.

Final Fantasy IV, not that I've played it, but it looks amazing can't wait for the localization.

Space Invaders Extreme.
(What do you mean it doesn't count because it's not out yet/Taito developed it?)

That would definitely have to be Final Fantasy IV, with FFTA2 coming in at second. In my opinion, FFIV is the best game in the series. It had a great story, especially with all of the twists, and great characters. And Square Enix is adding onto the already existing story with the upcoming remake for the DS!
Then there is Kain. The best character in the series and where part of my username comes from. Dragoons forever!

Don't have any Square Enix DS games. Haven't gotten a game in a while. Bought some moderately expensive consumer electronic recently. GTA IV's coming up. Gonna have to buy a $55 DualShock 3 when it comes out. Need a new batch of CD's. Yes, I haven't gotten a new video game in a while.

My favorite would probably be Final Fantasy III.
