There is no PSN update this week (or next, for that matter) due to the incoming PlayStation Store revamp. Today Sony added some new images of the forthcoming store to the PlayStation Blog -- these can be found in the gallery below. For those who missed the announcement last week, the recently patched Warhawk is currently on sale until April 15 for $30.

That's just because you are stuck in the past and haven't made the jump to the HD-era with the rest of us.

Noticed the Preview button the GT5 Prologue page... Is it too much to hope that's a sign there's going to be demos for PSN games?

*wonders if he's the only one who has the Japanese demo for Prologue*

Hey guys, can you answer a question for me?
I've yet to buy a game for my PS3 (I've had it since November, and all I've bought since then has been Blu-ray movies), but Warhawk has always interested me. Now, with the sale price, I might actually pick it up...but how integral to the game is the Bluetooth headset? I'd hate to feel handicapped without it. Think I should go without it, or should I keep trying to just find the best possible deal?

Honestly, it seems like 1/4 of the people, if even that many, in any single match are even talking. I love Warhawk, but people really don't make good use of the voice chat. Still though the few people that are talking are often working together or help to direct those that aren't talking. Just depends on the match.
Basically, you can join in and play just fine without a headset. You aren't going to be kicked off or criticized for not talking. But I'd still keep an eye out for a good deal on a headset.

It's not crucial. You might miss it when you hear other players use it, but considering Ebay sniping can snag you a headset for about $12 shipped from Hong Kong anyway, why spend an extra $30 just because it's in Sony packaging.
Plus, as bluetooth open standard, you can pick a headset which feels comfortable to you.
Hopefully this link helps.

And because of the abundance of bluetooth headsets on Ebay, sniping one is soooo easy.

1) Not many people pay for DEMOS, it should have been a pre-order perk.
2) The headset that comes with Warhawk will MURDER your ears.
3) Why didn't the ps3 that I payed 500 for come with HD-Cables, a headset, or rumble? Seriously, Sony needs to really tighten up the way they do things.

There are demos for PSN games. Just not all of them.

The BT headset is not necessary. I own one and I strongly encourage it, but most people do NOT have one. I'm lucky to find 1-2 people on my team in any given game who owns one, unlike in CoD4 where the majority do.
It helps a lot, especially if you buy the expansion pack (as well as the second expansion, due out relatively soon) due to the heavily team-oriented vehicles. Either way definitely pick up the game at the discounted price. It's a tough learning curve to be experienced, but you'll have a blast with it I'm pretty sure.

It does. I use my PS Eye instead of a headset. I think it works ok but for games that have open-mic, forget about it. It picks up everything and you will just end up pissing everyone off. I have to unplug it when playing CoD4 because Infinity Ward hasn't realized that we all don't live in sound proof booths with the volume turned off.
