Well that's no good! I'd rather buy this than the alternative GT demo out at the moment.

Really I would. What with Crisis Core coming out in June, albeit with a fancy art book. Give my PSP some play time.

You know, this is REALLY SAD. The PSP has been screaming for GT since its introduction. What is going on with Sony? GT is the PREMIERE racing game. And for it to not show up on the PSP is a shame.

GT is extremely important to any of Sony's platforms, because they are almost instantly AAA games. The fact that no PSP GT has come out is somewhat insulting...

...but if it will be worth the wait, then I'd rather wait. Once this does hit (if it does) Sony will make a HUGE deal about the game and the PSP and GT will be selling like condoms on Hump Day.

I'd rather they not make it than make it bad just because they feel obligated to Sony hardware. I mean, can you imagine the needed percision for driving GT5's challenges with the nub?

its Polyphony Digital, they take ten forevers on every Gran Turismo game. i mean i love the attention to detail and the games are always great but the long waits we endure for them are ridiculous. if we see GT Mobile at all, it probably wont be til holidays of '09 or even early '10 cause they wont start on it til GT5 is done and that is still a year away apparently. i need a GT fix bad. damn this waiting.

At the e3 when the PSP was first shown there was a huge model of the PSP proudly displaying Gran Turismo on the screen, and this was 4 years ago?

yep GT Mobile was the reason i bought my PSP right after launch, then it kept gettin habitually delayed and i became a sad panda. even if its good, there is no way it can be worth the wait, we've already waited over 3 years with probably 2 more if interpreting this article right.

I don't even care anymore, there's no shortage of good PSP driving games already. No need to wait for this vaporware port. Maybe they'll finish it before Duke Nukem Forever is released in 2025.

This is one of the major reasons why PSP ended up a distant 2nd in the console war. Its best 1st party title never came out on the system in time. Now, no one cares whether it even comes out or not, much less buying a PSP for it.

It would have been a different story had it come out at the same time as Mario Kart DS, or Brain Age.

This game is the whole reason I bought my PSP (a week after its release date) they said it would be out by summer (back then) Either way, is it even worth porting a 4 year old game?

If it means porting a great PS2 game to a handheld...? then yes. Let's face it, all the GT games do with every release is get more cars and shinier graphics, which is fine, but the one thing they do not have is a portable solution.

PD says 2009. I say 2010! You have to add at least 1 year to any date PD says.

This game would be worthless to me without some form of online. And these guys can't seem to do it right on the PS3 so I don't have high hopes. Actually, I didn't really care that much to begin with, the GT series' pace is too meticulous for me; I'm just not enough of a gearhead to care about fine-tuning my brake ratio and keeping an eye on tire wear.

So this would be worthless to you without online, but this isn't your kind of game anyway. Hmm, so wouldn't the whole game be worthless to you, whether there's online or not? But thanks for sharing, it was a valuable contribution...

About as valuable as yours, sir.

I was saying that while I don't really care about this series, the handheld version still needs online for it to be worth any kind of a damn. The system already has plenty of racing games.

why not just make two GT5's instead of a GT4M and GT5 almost everybody has GT4, I have GT4 I've been waiting for this since 2006 in fact that's one of the reasons I bought a PSP but don't fret playstation I'll wait another YEAR,
but who knows maybe they delayed it to make it a GT5 mobile.

Bravo to both making a racing joke (DNF = Did Not Finish) *and* a video game joke with the same 3 letters

Um, I guess people with CFW will just have to emulate an older version? Take that, Sony.
