Rumor: Legend of Zelda manga coming stateside

Usually, we don't often partake in "the mangas." Sometimes you have to read them backwards, which makes our heads hurt, and frankly, we don't think our black jeans are comically baggy enough to pull the whole "manga reader" look off. That said, we think we'll be forced to make an exception for a Legend of Zelda manga that's reportedly coming stateside.

In an effort to make no more than one manga-related post per month, we also wanted to let you know that GoNintendo got its hands on the cover for the Phoenix Wright manga headed our way. It's totally uninspiring, save for the presence of Godot, the coolest prosecutor since Sam Waterston. ... Crap, are we going to have to buy two mangas? We're going to have to go get our jeans let out.

The Zelda manga is actually pretty good. I have the original Japanese release of them.

I've read the Zelda manga for Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. It's pretty awful. This is really nothing to get excited about.

It's just more evidence that Link should never, ever talk.

Ugh, creepy but true story... on occassion, I do commission jobs (which almost always equate to "design me a tattoo"), one person found me only and liked my monster art style. He was a furry which was warning sign one. I turned down the job, why?

He wanted me to draw his werewolf character raping a bunny character while tearing her throat open... suffice it to say... I quit doing commissions for a while, still curious how that guy found out about me...

Thank you for the compliments but I'm fairly low run on character art. Plenty of artists blow me away and giggle at my attempts to keep up. Problem is, my job is enviormental artists so while people who do character art for a living grow by leaps and bounds, my profession is modeling airfields for simulators... hardly a challenge which lets me grow...

Hey I've got a DevArt too. I don't go on that often anymore, too many furries as stated. But I did a few pretty good things.

Here's something I did, game related too, which ironically is Zelda themed as well. The first two are Twilight Princess Link, one b&W and the same but colored. The third is Wind Waker Link. Enjoy!

I've actually read almost all of the zelda mangas, they're very shallow and linear but decent reads overall if you can stand cute things

GAH. I'll have all you unenlightened people know that the Ocarina of Time manga is EXCELLENT. It is drawn by two very talented women (who have also done Majora's Mask, the Oracle games, and Four Swords Adventures), and the inside art is much better than the cover art.
Most manga sells for around $7-10, so methinks I will be picking this up THE SECOND IT COMES OUT. =)
