Atlus bringing Trauma Center 2 for DS stateside before Japan
Atlus this afternoon announced plans to bring Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 stateside, giving us plenty to keep busy amidst reruns of Scrubs and E.R. when the game ships for the Nintendo DS this summer. Atlus confirmed that the sequel, which follows the 2005 release that made us all believe that we could cure cancer with a flick of the wrist, will make it to retail on July 1, offering new modes and operations for armchair surgeons. But wait, isn't that a full month before the game will be released in Japan? Has the world gone topsy-turvy? We touched based with Atlus and learned that this is indeed the case -- not that the world had gone into a tailspin, but rather that we can expect to stitch up wounds vicariously through Derek and Angie before our friends overseas. The official we spoke to also noted that while the team struggled with a number of titles for the sequel "there really was no other more fitting thing to call the game than Under the Knife 2." Honestly, they can call it anything they want, just get it in our hands STAT!

An Anime woman, tentacles...mmmm sorry I just don't know how anyone can connect those things, I think is impossible I don't know how anyone could relate an anime cartoon to a tentacle.
So nop I don’t what you are talking about The Artist formally known as Jesus.

There were tentacles, but they slipped back into her GAPING CLEAVAGE.

ChooChooCharlie,
Maybe you perform some kind of surgery that makes that heaving bosom relevant to the game.

@ WRE
That would actually be pretty funny if they had some plastic surgery bonus missions or something. Of course, they'd have to raise the rating to M (unless they made her like a Barbie doll).

Finally a place where this is actually on topic...
First!!
I apologize.
Anyway, I should probably get the first one sometime, hopefully I can find it for less than $15 or $20.

@Esc.
That is the second best ending credits after Portal.
Mr.ESC @ Apr 8th 2008 1:03AM
No one continued my post, the Internet defrauds me once more.
Anyway yes that is actually a good ending I wish there was a MP3.That song could improve tons of games with crappy endings such as Assassin's Creed.

I would enjoy this game alot more if it didn't go from "simple" to "fucking impossible" so quickly. I like the concept, enjoy it heavily, it just gets rough to the point where I'm no longer haviing fun.
ChooChooCharlie (Brawl: 1504-5357-9285) @ Apr 7th 2008 11:32PM
It's true, man.
I loved this game on the DS so much that I bought it on the Wii as well, but the difficulty was impossible at times. I couldn't even get an S rank on the tutorial mission in the beginning (though I could for others).
Goddamn Paraskevi made me scratch my original DS screen too, when I tried to drag the stylus too fast in one of the later missions. Luckily it was still under warranty.
doom saber @ Apr 8th 2008 12:01AM
Did they localized the names too? I mean, didn't the first one kept with the japanese names?
Spin44 @ Apr 8th 2008 1:09AM
the first one was really good and got a 4/5 average rating at expotv :) http://www.expotv.com/videos/reviews/22/198/TraumaCenter3AUndertheKnife/159672

I'm glad they're bringing Trauma Centre to the DS. Second Opinion worked well on the Wii but it was superior with a touch screen.
Phil @ Apr 8th 2008 10:39AM
Mmm, this is good. I've been hoping that this would be the case.
It does seem Trauma center is much more popular over here than in Japan and honestly, I'm fine with that. America has a better appreciation for cheesy yet good sci fi medical plots anyways. :P
Martez @ Apr 8th 2008 11:33AM
A good plot? What Trauma Center game did YOU play?
ThornedVenom (Harley Quinn Defense Force) @ Apr 8th 2008 12:46PM
Any signs of co-op? (local, doesn't have to be online)
