Not my nightly Lemmings sessions. Nooooooo.
Mr.ESC @ Apr 7th 2008 10:34PM
I can't tell if that was sarcasm, where I left my sarcasm detector?
gamermasterman @ Apr 7th 2008 10:09PM
Dang, I can't play My Street or Eyetoy Chat online anymroe? :(
Myke @ Apr 7th 2008 10:09PM
The only one I can see anyone actually going back to play would be TM Black, oh well
Jim @ Apr 7th 2008 10:26PM
Guess I won't be buying Lemmings for my PSP then.
Mills and Boom @ Apr 8th 2008 9:58AM
Ditto. I was considering getting that game as well.
why not the LS2/LS7? @ Apr 7th 2008 10:37PM
Amplitude was shut off over a year ago. A video game site called "joystiq" covered it.

Thankyou. I was about to say the same thing. It shut down quite a while ago.

SCEA and SCEE are two different regions...
OH SNAP! RTFA.
why not the LS2/LS7? @ Apr 8th 2008 1:19AM
Sir:
Show me where in that other article it says "SCEE" or "SCEA". It says Sony.
ottoman673 @ Apr 8th 2008 9:10AM
"Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has posted a portent of doom"
"SCEE notes that it has wrapped its hand around the power cord and is ready to give it a good tug on June 30th"
"SCEE severing several servers for online PS2, PSP games"
I do believe it says it not one, not two, but three times.
RTFA.

It sad that they don't provide a way for people to set up there own small servers for internet play.
SoulBlade @ Apr 7th 2008 11:41PM
This is a pretty good argument for XBL. But... is anybody really sad to see these go?
I do think it sucks to be dropping PSP games. Still feels too young to have anything taken away.
KeenCommander @ Apr 8th 2008 12:14AM
Any game is too young to have it taken away. IMO, if you buy the game then online is part of what you're paying for. It should be kept up for at least 10 years or, preferably, until every last player has dried up. I can't say I'll be missing them much, no network adapter in my PS2, but I still object on principle.
Otakon @ Apr 8th 2008 12:20AM
I don´t understand. Nobody already plays those games online... what's the big deal¿?
jynxce @ Apr 8th 2008 1:06AM
In fact, it's a perfect arguement for Live. Those games (barring EA) on the orignal 'box, 360 and future Live embedded consoles will always have online functionality. Woot!
Mills and Boom @ Apr 8th 2008 9:42AM
And they want the PSP and PS3 going for 10 years? LOL.
nmmalone @ Apr 8th 2008 10:37AM
NOT AMPLITUDE!!!
Martez @ Apr 8th 2008 11:35AM
Hey Sony, you don't achieve your 10 year lifecycle by shutting down the servers.
GoonieGooGoo @ Apr 9th 2008 5:16AM
You get what you pay for.....BOOOOOO!!
xx Beta Max xx @ Apr 9th 2008 12:06PM
My Street!?!? WTF!
Now where am I going to meet new 8 year olds?
darkeyez @ Apr 11th 2008 11:38AM
as long as they don't touch FFXI. I'm still planning on getting into it...at some point...
