Hey, it's tough to keep the lid on an exciting secret. If
we knew Ikaruga was coming to Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday, we'd probably
blurt it out at every opportunity too. Sort of like what we're doing now. In case you haven't gathered, Treasure's mesmerizing shooter is finally, officially coming to Xbox 360 this week -- f'realz, confirmed and for 800 MS Points ($10). You're all smiles now, but just wait until the game crushes your ego to a pulp in its unrelenting, unforgiving bullet-hell fist.
Those who prefer their gaming to be less hectic and humiliating should note that
Poker Smash is receiving some downloadable content this week, with an "Environment Pack" adding two new Action Mode environments and a "Puzzle Pack" adding 15 new weapons. No, wait ... puzzles. Definitely puzzles. Each pack will set you back 100 MS Points ($1.25).

Too true. I found a GC copy a few years ago after much scouring in Orange County for $25.
I don't mind spending another $10 for some online action, as long as Xbox Live is working. Zing!

I'm able to get through levels 1-3 just fine, but then level 4 is the real KILLER. It's a good thing you get more continues the more often you play the GC game so that that part actually becomes passable. When you reach infinite continues at about ten hours or so, you can actually play it with a friend without him screwing you over!

I'm glad now that I never actually managed to get my hands on a copy of Ikaruga for the GC, because that would have been more expensive and lacking in features of the XBLA version.
I'm really excited about this old(ish) game.

getting through the levels is nothing. let me know when you can full chain them.
i used to be able to chain the first two stages, way back when on the DC. it's about time i had a game to waste my life on again.

I'm sure everyone has seen the clip of the guy playing the arcade version using two ships at once to take down the 5th level without being hit. Someone should post that godly skill here, i'm late for work LOL.
