It's been a while since we've talked about Unreal Tournament 3 on the Xbox 360, but Epic's Mark Rein has said in the game's forums that the port is due to be shown in a couple of weeks at Midway's Gamers' Day in Vegas. He says there is no "particular release date yet," but that the title is "coming along really nicely."
We're still a little curious about what UT3 on Xbox 360 will offer. The PS3 version recently received free maps (something we know MS doesn't like to do) and Rein previously admitted there were complications with Microsoft over modding. Hopefully there'll be some answers at Midway's Gamers' Day on April 17.

It's building levels and it's still alive.
It's skinning models and it's still alive.
While you're fragging it'll be still alive.
And when you're gibbed it will be still alive.

Why must you perpetuate the lie that Microsoft doesn't like to release free maps??
I seem to remember a couple free maps and new multi-player game type for Gears. I also remember the other map pack being released for free after a certain date. Let's not forget the various other maps I've received for free for games like the Darkness, GRAW, GRAW 2, etc.

Strange, I purchased 15 copies of the special edition and installed it on the network at my offices, teaching students how to create maps/mods.

I'm a huge fan of UT99 and UT2004, love twitch/DM FPS, and I personally found UT3 to be a great disappointment. I play FPS on PC, and to me, it really feels like they changed the gameplay to appeal to console gamers. In particular, the way they changed the movement really ruined the game. With the lower jumps and the removal of dodge-jumping, you really feel chained to the ground. This makes it easier to move around on a gamepad, but it sure makes the game boring.
Maybe it's good for console players, but it sure sucks on PC.
