We're a bit late on the call to arms, but the movement is still alive and in full force. Sarcastic Gamer has spear-headed a Battlefield: Bad Company boycott that has gathered a bunch of followers who are united in a retail boycott of EA and DICE's upcoming shooter. Why the need for a boycott? Well, it's those oh so controversial weapons that EA confirmed would have to be purchased separately off the XBLM when the game hits retail. If you agree with and refuse to purchase Bad Company unless EA gets rid of their weapon purchase business plan then join Sarcastic Gamer's boycott by signing their petition, plastering web banners across the internets and watching their resistance video on loop at twelve hour intervals. The call to arms has already started, are you signing up?

U say EA "charges for weapons that actually aren't better then the ones that come in the game" I'd like to know how in the HELL u know to be a fact. Nobody has ever played wit a GOLDEN GUN we've only seen the stats and that dont mean shit in COD4 the stats say G36C is the best gun but most perfer M16 or M4. I don't trust anything 4rm EA when NFS-PS came out and did the same thing the DLC cars were better u should not asume GREEDY EA is telling the truth about that.

That is officially the quote of the day. Since you put it that way, from now on, all DLC is now boycotted because it can cause and unfair advantage to other people because the people that download it are enjoying it and the people that don't have it aren't. /sarcasim I fail to see this, DLC is DLC no matter if it is for multiplayer or not, if you take a look at the standards Microsoft has set, it clearly says that you can not charge for something that will give players an advantage over another. All of the cars in NFS were balanced out, you say the DLC cars were better but I bet they lacked in something that some of the cars in the regular game had. Same thing with the guns, they are all balanced out no matter what or they would not fit under Microsofts policy.
And by the way I'm looking at my pre-order pack for BBC and it comes with a code to download one of the weapons (GASP) I guess I already have fallen prey to EA's scam, oh well at least I get a free sniper when I go to pick up the game and ENJOY playing it.

Yeah, I'm stupid for getting the game but deciding that the downloadable content is a rip off which I've said I don't know how many times. You sir (or ma'am, what ever you are) are a fool and need to actually read what I say instead of telling me that I'm buying the DLC when I clearly stated I wasn't going to.

EA has stated that the weapons thats going to be sold separately don't offer any clear advantage then whats already included in the game.If thats the case there's no reason to boycott the game.If they were lying well then they can get sued for false advertising and then gamers will boycott EA.

SORRY LONO I'm just a bored BF fan tellin it like it is EA wants to sux us dry of every dime we have. I'm tried of it I've been mad at EA ever since they ruined NFS I've been sayin homies need to boycott this DLC BS since I 1st heard about it a long time ago. And most of these hopeless EA fannyboys don't make any sense.

yeah the ea has stepped to far this time. i mean your paying for a full game but then they wont you to pay more for additional weapons. this game is incomplete. id rather swallow one end of a coild of barb wire then hold the other end and floss myself than buy this game and be part of that number of people who support paying more for what should be in the game.

I think what most of the people are not getting is that we are not boycotting because EA has downloadable content. We are boycotting because they have already made downloadable content BEFORE the game has even come out. They could easily put these weapons in the game, instead of make us pay for them. DLC is suppost to be extra content for the player so that they can continue to play it. This isnt extra content. This is content cut from the game, and they are just abusing their power by doing this. As Lono, me, and others have repated before. This is not right, and if EA gets away with it, I have no doubt they will try to make it a standard.
