We don't use the word "ultimate" a lot, but the folks at WiiNintendo just created what we deem to be the ultimate Mario Kart Wii video update. In short, they decided to film themselves racing through every single track in the forthcoming racer, taking in every corner, chicane, and item box. The resulting video is as long as most feature-length movies (one hour and 45 minutes), and probably full of spoilers.
We've absolutely no idea how anyone would find the time to digest all of this -- we're Mario Kart potty, and we couldn't make the time if we wanted to -- but if you do have a couple of hours to kill, this is (for now) the closest many of you will get to playing the game.

It's called Mario Kart Channel, a channel seperated from tne game and is installed through the game disc. The channel features world leaderboards, downloadable ghost data, Nintendo-arranged competitions etc. The channel is reachable without the game disc in the console.
Wii Fit also has its very own channel.

So you can keep up to date with the online stuff, even when the disc's not in.
My guess (will be getting it in a matter of hours!) is that it's for checking your times against friends, and seeing if they're currently playing, things like that..

I'm glad Mario Kart Wii has drafting included. That feature was one of the best additions to the series in Mario Kart DS.

he does mean DRAFTING! use your common sense!! drafting is the art of staying behind a car to use the lack of wind resistance to speed ahead.. mkart terms: stay on someones tail long enough to get a boost

Shmil, you're wrong. You clearly don't know the finer aspects of Mario Kart. Leave the commenting to the real Mario Kart players. Thanks...

Nope, drafting was in MK64 and DD as well. Give it a try sometime. The boost is smaller than what you get in DS or Wii though.
Hell, the first result on Google for "Drafting Mario Kart" refers to Mario Kart 64 having it.

I play MKDD on a daily basis and can confirm that there is absolutely no drafting in the game.

So by ultimate you mean last right? There were WAY too many Brawl posts and I get the feeling this is going to end up the same way...
