Poll: For which platform are you buying Grand Theft Auto IV?

I'm disappointed both that Rockstar disses PC gamers again, and that you would not include PC as on option in the poll with these crapsoles, err consoles.

I have all three systems, but getting this on PS3, purely because I don't play online (anymore, too many cheaters), and PS3 run much much quieter and smoother than 360, it's just more enjoyable.

I'll be buying it for the 360, simply b/c I don't have a PS3...if I did, I'd buy it for the PS3.

I am buying the Special Edition for PS3(duffel bag FTW) because my 360 just died again and i just got it back last week and its an older version man i hate Microsoft it has a jet engine with the old disc drive my PS3 is a whisper plus me and 3 of my friends have a PS3 but i am buying the 360 normal version later on for achievements, live with other friends and that so called DLC that i honestly dont care about PS3 FTW

wow this is ridiculous...all i have read is back forth mines better.....who fucking cares?? its not like if one of the consoles wins we will miss out on the other...i mean come on...you guys have got some growing up to do...

plus the playstation is the flagship model for GTA many of my friends are getting PS3 for GTA IV DUALSHOCK 3 FTW

um...pc? I know it will be a while but I'm poor right now so I only have a wii and a decent computer.

I have both consoles and will be getting it on the PS3. I'm a big single player die hard and it pains me to see one of the huge known single player games fall into the realm of the "myspace online society generation" of gamers.

Really now? Really? GTA? Ughhh. Another one bites the dust to this online shit. Less focus on single player content and more to multiplayer because it's what the myspacers love. Halo 3 turned into all multiplayer,COD4 did the same thing. I heard nothing about the campaign and nonstop about the "online mode".

We need more Metroid Primes and Bioshocks in the world of this heavily unbalanced scale of multiplayer to singleplayer games.

Definitely 360 version for me. I have a fair number of friends on both systems, but when I turn on my PS3 there are only 2 or so online and when I turn on the 360 there are usually at least 10. Plus the 360 has the future content exclusivity. So yeah, 360.

I don't have any friends so I'm getting a PS3.

I'm getting it for the Xbox 360

The games are identical bar the downloads, I just think the xbox 360 is better, so I don't actually have a ps3.

wow thats alot closer than i expected. i expected more people to go with the 360 considering it has a larger install base (and therefore a larger online following), and the DLC. im going to assume that PS3 will also be getting the Achievements in the form of Accomplishments through Home whenever that drops since a simple patch could add it more-than-likely. but i did figure the gap would be larger than that. cool, more people for me to play online with on PS3 (considering my internet if fixed by then). you PS3 owners should add me so we can get on some Joystiq online multiplayer, my PSN name is KillaKornbread, just like in my name on here. i think we're at like 19 days left now.

Considering the future exclusive DLC the 360 has coming, I'm a bit surprised how close the poll is.

We need to make a note of this thread, and the fanboys who are saying, i don't care about DLC', or 'i don't want to pay for extra missions'.

How are you guys going to feel when the DLC which MS paid for (way over the odds in my opinion) comes to the 360 and you all realize that what that is going to be is additional areas of the city? It's not going to be just missions, no way, they are going to add news 'districts' to LC. Much like the DLC for Burnout Paradise is going to be, only for GTA4, MS paid so it would be exclusive.

Persoanlly, i will get both version because i will get them free, but i really think you PS3 guys are going to be in for a shock when the DLC is announced. 360 owners are going to have new parts of the city to explore etc (both online and offline) and you are not.

I am not suggesting the DLC is going to add 'another city the size of VC to GTA4, as i read someone say, it's not going to be *that* much additional content, but mark my words, the DLC is going to add new locations to the city.

I just wonder how you PS3'er will feel when that happens?

PS3 all the way. I've lost faith in MS as I'm now on my 3rd Xbox. Hell, we've had kits red ring at work, they had on red ring at GDC wasn't it? seriously, take some time, step back, make it solid and stable. It's a good console and it has a solid line up, just not the will to survive apparently. I might keep it around for Fable 2 though. Of course, getting a 360 "exclusive" is basically saying I'm not going to buy it on PC but eh.

I will be getting it for 360 as thats the system I own. But If I had a PS3, more than likely would I buy it for the PS3. The thing is, while the PS3 has advantages like free online, its not much. Yes it has superior graphics by a few months, as it was in development longer.
But its lack of games to utilize these graphics leave it out in the cold, and leaving more money in my wallet for 360 games. When the PS3 drops in price, has a wider range of games, I might just buy one, depending how unsatisfied I become with the 360.

I don't have a ps3 so I will be getting it on the Xbox 360. It's not that I dont like the ps3, I will be getting one most likely when MGS4 comes out.

Overall, the online service for the 360 is better even if you have to pay for it.

I'm gonna go with the 360. That is when I get it back in excess of two weeks lol. Just sent it in today after my first RROD. I only own the 360 but there's something about the ps3 that just doesn't click for me. I don't know what it is, especially considering I always liked the playstation systems before.
