Rumor: Elebits 2 coming later this year
A sequel to the Wii's most electrically-charged Japan launch title is in the works. The latest issue of Official Nintendo Magazine (via CVG) reportedly says that Elebits 2 is due out on the Wii later this year. We haven't been able to yet get a copy of the magazine ourselves, nor has there been any confirmation from Konami or Nintendo, so we're going to file this under rumor for now.
The initial Elebits, also known as Eledees, launched with mixed reviews. We liked the concept, though, so it'll be interesting to see what comes of the developers having more time to polish.

I think with how quick and cheaply Wii developement can be done we need some agreeded upon guidelines for how much time must pass before you can begin milking the property.
May I suggest 3 years?
bm @ Apr 10th 2008 1:16PM
I'd suggest for the same amount of time to pass between Shaggi comments. ;)
Shagittarius @ Apr 10th 2008 1:25PM
Nice one, I would not suggest waiting that long between bms though.

It'll have been two solid years. It's not like Rayman where it looks like they're going to squirt one out every November.
Levi @ Apr 10th 2008 2:40PM
LOL @ Samfish!!!
Your pic has me squirting one out every day!

How exactly is a single sequel "milking the property"? Until they've got more than just one game, there's not even much of a property there to milk. Just a decent game that's getting a sequel. Where's the problem with that?

Shaggi: you're right, because then you'd obviously get a pretty bad stomach ache! Why would anyone want to do that?
Oh, you were making a joke? Ok.

The first one was fun for a bit but just became a chore to play. I'll pass on the 2nd.

I didn't really like the first one...so I don't think I'll much care for a sequel.
Oh well.

The first one had some decent ideas, and was *kinda* fun, but it's going to take some major polish to get me to pick a sequel up.

Would you just look at those clean lines...not a jaggy in sight. Indeed the WSM is powerful.

Go blow yourself. Why do you even bother to post if it's just something negative. Seriously, who gives a fuck what you have to say. And as I've previously stated, WiiSports Machine is not funny. It isn't clever at all and is entirely untrue. There is a very large library of games for the Wii with some astonishing titles. Go have fun on your Bluray Machine (haha! see what i did there!) and quit trolling Nintendo boards before I punch you in the fucking throat. Or not. It's really up to you.

all i can ask is why?
Shogan @ Apr 10th 2008 1:57PM
I guess from the comments, not many people enjoyed the game. Once you got a few upgrades, and got outside, it was great. It's kinda like if they made a Magneto game as a FPS... well sorta. I loved it, so I'll be keeping an eye on the sequel.

The first one was pretty good, but it didn't have much replay value for me. I didn't feel compelled to go back and try to get all of the secrets in it and so forth. Better implementation and polish in the 2nd would would incline me to pick it up.
Cesaria (SSBB: 3136-6466-5083) @ Apr 10th 2008 4:25PM
I had a good time with the first game. That is of course because I rented it. The first title didn't really warrant a full purchase, but add a lot more content to it, and I can get behind that.
