The SimCity Box starts construction in June for $40
EA announced today that it'll release The SimCity Box in June, which includes SimCity Societies, SimCity Societies Destinations, SimCity 4, SimCity 4 Rush Hour and The Sims Carnival SnapCity. The best part of the bundle is the very friendly $40 price tag; however, the only real draw inside the box is SimCity 4 and its expansion Rush Hour, which are available bundled for $15 - $20 at most retailers.
SimCity Societies, which was not developed by Maxis, stumbled on release for various reasons. The SimCity Box might be worth it to those who missed out on the last half-decade of the series and are looking to test out its traditional and more casual incarnations over the summer.

Societies is worthless and you can get all of the other ones, individually, for less.
Fail.

I would like a new Streets of Sim City game.

I'm still kind of a fan of SimCity 3000.

And here I heard Sim City Societies is essentially a much simpler Sim City game.... which after dealing with having toconnect water piping in the most unituitive way ever, my be welcome to me. But who knows...

I haven't played Societies either, but I hear you on the water piping. Ugh!

What about SIMCopter?

YEAH! I still play the original and it's AWESOME.

Meh. I'd get the SimCity 3000 Deluxe Pack before this. SimCity 4 is a micromanaging dream, but for those of us who just wanna chill out and build a city, it's not all that great.

What? No sim city 2000? Do not want!

I love SC4/RushHour and everything else can throw itself off a cliff. Better yet, can we turn back time and kill the parents of the people that came up with the rest of that box? The only reason SC4 is in there is so the others will see some sales figures.

SnapCity is actually pretty damn sweet. Though I already have everything else in the "Box" so I might as well just buy SnapCity by itself.
Yulof @ May 13th 2008 1:33AM
Why will I buy this? Aside from the fact that I don't have some of those games, this release comes with a Demo of Spore. Yeah, the creature creator! WOOTZ!
