Former Hitman, Kane and Lynch creators launch Reto-Moto
The founders of Hitman and Kane and Lynch developer IO Interactive have left to form Reto-Moto, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based studio "committed to redefining the online multi-player space." While the team isn't talking about its initial project, a press release announcing the company notes that Reto-Moto is in "active dialogue with strategic industry partners."
In a rather incestuous twist, it turns out that Reto-Moto was actually established in 1997, and was the former parent of IO Interactive before it was handed off to Eidos in 2004 as part of a £20 million acquisition. It looks like Thomas Wolfe was wrong; you can go home again.

Dang it! Kane and Lynch was such a good game! Oh, and I loved The Notebook.

"Kane and Lynch was such a good game"
You forgot the /sarcasm at the end.
Roofie @ Apr 11th 2008 5:05PM
I'm sorry, but I figured that saying "Oh, and I loved The Notebook" was the same thing.
Optimus Prime @ Apr 11th 2008 5:04PM
Sick of all the hate from people who NEVER PLAYED it. Shut up. It WAS a good game. SERIOUSLY
Roofie @ Apr 11th 2008 5:06PM
I did play it.

Well Optimus Prime I'm sure you also consider your own game "Transformers: The Game" (very original title by the way) to be top notch.
Optimus Prime @ Apr 11th 2008 5:11PM
Then I feel sorry for you and your taste. Brainwashed by reviews much?
Curtis the Claw: Brawl Code 1075-0441-3284 @ Apr 11th 2008 5:21PM
Did you make this game or something? You are seriously the only person that likes Kane an Lynch that I know of.
Optimus Prime @ Apr 11th 2008 5:13PM
Hahahah someone with a Wii talking about quality games? Hahahah hilarious!
Curtis the Claw: Brawl Code 1075-0441-3284 @ Apr 11th 2008 5:16PM
I take it you don't understand how to leave a reply...
Yes I do own a Wii, it sits right between my 360 and PS3.
Fernando Rocker @ Apr 11th 2008 6:03PM
Well... the Wii has more exclusives titles with %90 and up average score in Gamerankings or Metracritic.
Sony has zero games %90 and up.
Cox Attack @ Apr 11th 2008 5:30PM
Actually, Kane and Lynch wasn't really that bad. It was an above average shooter with some flaws and that kind of fell apart in the last act. I enjoyed it a lot. It deserved a 7, 7.5 score.
Curtis the Claw: Brawl Code 1075-0441-3284 @ Apr 11th 2008 5:36PM
True, it was a slightly above average game. The problem though was that it released right around Call of Duty 4, Mass Effect, Rock Band, Assassins Creed, and a whole lot of other games.
AoE @ Apr 11th 2008 6:08PM
true, that was a problem. Which is why I didn't pick it up until a week ago, personally. Enjoying it so far. Full disclosure though, I'm an IO fanboy after the Hitman Series & Freedom Fighters; thier controls are rarely perfect but if you can overlook the compartivley slight issues, IO usually rewards us with some fun, unique gameplay.
And Curtis the Claw: Brawl Code 1075-0441-3284... just out of interest, since you were asking Optimus why he's defending K&L so much, yet you've replied to every other comment here... perhaps you'd like to explain why you hate the game so much? did it rape your wife and kill your children or something? Force you to sit through a Jerry Lewis telethon? BURN THE TOAST?!!!

@AoE
Actually I've only replied to 2 people on here, the problem is Optimus doesn't know how to use the reply feature so it looks like I'm replying to a bunch of people. I am just bitter because I bought it when it came out instead of a good game and it failed me:(
Bastard11 @ Apr 11th 2008 5:38PM
Kane & Lynch wasn't very good.. on the other hand it wasn't as terrible as everyone seems to think now.
It is the victim of hype.. unfortunately the wrong kind of hype.
Kind of like how it was so hip to say the PS3 is a piece of trash that fill fail and isn't even capable of running games as well as the 360.
Well many of us can tell the difference between fact and fiction but apparently a lot of people can't.. and therefor cannot form their own opinions.
Truth be told.. the Hitman games weren't very good either. Never stopped me from loving them. (well okay it stopped me from loving the first one.)
I personally wouldn't waste my time playing through Kane & Lynch after what I had experienced.. but there are far worse games getting better scores all the time.
designerzero @ Apr 16th 2008 6:21PM
pleas do a deal with EA and do Freedom fighters 2
Drago Dracini @ Apr 12th 2008 12:05PM
I hope their next game is better. after playing Kane and Lynch, I know that it was awful. I decided to rent a bad game one night and I wasn't disappointed. The camera was garbage, aiming was shit, characters were unlikable. I hope that series is dead.
pocketens @ Apr 14th 2008 7:37PM
Kane and Lynch was not that bad in my opinion, I really got caught up in the hype machine before release, and thought it lived up to about half of it. Maybe they can take that innovative multiplayer mode with them and improve on it with a better engine with a better cover system.
