The action figure manufacturing crew over at NECA recently posted a few final packaging photographs of their Gears of War action figures that are set for release sometime this month. You can view the glorious packaging photos of Marcus Fenix, Locust Drone, Locust Sniper and the controversial Augustus Cole in the gallery below. Yup, you have to agree, they are beautifully gory figures and the packaging is (dare we say) much better than that seen in the Halo 3 McFarlane figures. Much sleeker and figure specific.Gears of War action figures now fully packaged

Just popped in on one of the sites I get stuff from, and they're dating them for this month and at $12.99 each or a box for $51.99.
The Locust Sniper is the short-pack figure.

Odds are they'll be around $12.99-$15.99 depending on the retailer, as normal for figures this size.
Might have to get a few; NECA sort of dropped the ball for me on the Alucard figure a number of months back but I might give them another chance..

Keep us informed on what retailers these will be headed to. Hopefully to stores like Walmart or Target that way it'll be easy to pick them up.

I can promise you that you will never find these at mainstream retail stores. Rather, look at other brick & mortar stores like Hot Topic or comic book stores.
I'd suggest keeping your search internet based.

I don't think it'd be a good idea to mention specific sites as it might be a form of advertising (even though I don't work for any of the sites I buy stuff from.)
Message me via Live and I'll give you a few good sites to check...gamertag Magic Whiskey.

Good sites to buy these figures and ANY toys you might be into:
www.cornerstorecomics.com
www.Entertainmentearth.com
www.Bigbadtoystore.com
Those are the main three I use...hope they come in handy for you!

That pic of the Marcus Fenix toy reminds me of the guy who created the Gears armor. He was featured in an OXM article before and he looks like a real life Marcus Fenix. Now more than ever do I think they should just let him star as Marcus in the upcoming Gears movie. If he can't act oh well, I don't expect the movie to be any good anyway. He looks the part which is good enough I guess.
