Renegade Kid calls Moon 'more ambitious' than Dementium

"We're being much more ambitious with the environments, particle effects, enemies and cinematic cut-scenes," commented Watsham. "Even though we pushed the DS with Demenitum, we were still being slightly cautious due to our time frame and growing experience with the platform. This time around with Moon, we are being a little less cautious while still be expressive and ambitious."
He also took a moment to reflect back on Dementium, noting that the survival horror title's save system was a particular sticking point among those who played the game. "Most people hated the save system in Dementium... Moon is structured very differently than Dementium. The game is presented in episodes, and within each episode there are checkpoints that save your progress."
For more from Renegade Kid's Watsham on Moon, including Moon's possible future for the Wii and why the company's decision to go with publisher Mastiff instead of Dementium pub Gamecock is really much ado about nothing, check out our full interview on Monday and the first screens from the game below.

I don't know if I'll get this after Dementium, but I'm glad to see that they're experimenting with colour this time. The endless grey corridors of Dementium were really inspiring. Really inspiring.
With this new game I see neon green. I'm not a fan of neon green - more pastel pink - but at least it's a start. There's also a Doom 3 vibe, or maybe not.

I think I'll try it. Looks cool. Though I have yet to try Dementium.

Dementium was really good (I haven't yet finished it), so I can't wait to play this. I actually consider Dementium to be the true sequel to Condemned (yes, I know different dev/pub) on account of Condemned 2 sucking out loud. Thanks Monolith.

Really? You actually thought the original Condemned was better than #2?
I loved the original(it was actually my first 360 game), but I recently bought #2 and from the first two missions alone, I can already say that it is miles beyond what the first game was. It's graphically prettier, the combat is much improved, and the upgrades you can earn are AWESOME.

Wait what? Condemned 2 is pretty damn good. Sure it's not as scary as the original, but it's still as fun.
Shit I need to finish it.

Damn comment system. I was replying to a completely different post in another article and it sends me back here and reposts my old one.
Sorry for clogging your inbox.

Criminal Origins was way, way better than Bloodshot. CO was creepier and scarier and needed to be played in the dark, but B is much more angry and loud, but obviously the graphics and forensics system are much improved. C2 wasn't even scary. I felt a wee bit ripped off.
Condemned: CO was the best game on 360.
Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy was best game on Xbox/PS2.

Doesn't sound too bad, given the fact I really don't know much about this title. But Dementium was pretty good, definitely changed the way I saw DS games.
Good luck to these guys, I'd like to see them flourish and move on to bigger better things.

I am definitely going to be keeping my eye on this one. Looks like its Alien meets System Shock and that is a good thing. :D
