24
Getting back into the normal swing of making announcements, hmxsean just posted next week's Rock Band downloadable content and we have a hunch that hardcore Rock Band'ers will pleased.
Available next Tuesday, April 15th for 160 Microsoft points each or bundled together in a three pack for 440 points, will be new Rock Band DLC including "Call Me" by Blondie, "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd and "Message in Bottle" by The Police. And before you ask, these will all be master tracks. We also know a select few of you have been eagerly awaiting "Simple Man"'s release ever since the Rock Band March DLC leak so, come Tuesday, we're happy to say that your wait is over. Rock on!

I love when we get songs that could clearly be on the disk to begin with (Working man any metallica 3's and 7's ect). but when we get songs that don't belong on the disk let alone dlc(Any remones el scorcho) I get mad. thank god we get some lynyrd this week we needed something epic.

Gimmie Back My Bullets would be more fun IMO.
Variety is indeed a great thing here. No sense in ever getting "mad" about any dlc. Well unless you bought GH3 and are still waiting for more than the handful of dlc tracks for it.

I second your Gimme Back My Bullets. Es mi favorito. And I raise you Call Me the Breeze, and of course, Freebird. I played some Freebird on GHII the other night, and I forgot how awesome that song is, and would be, on Rock Band.
Squirrell, you need to learn proper grammar, man. And be glad you get DLC; some kids don't.

I dont get mad to a point where im like crazy and breaking down emotionally but it does bother me when they try to past songs on to the game that have no reason to be on the game to begin cause their so simple and repetitive.sure i like a wide veraity of songs but not songs my retarded dog could beat.

I hate to make an easy point here. But if you think the song is too easy for you, then don't buy it.
I'm sorry the folks at Harmonix didn't run these songs by you to ensure that they're to your liking or skill level.
But there are other people out there that might not be as good as your retarded dog. =)

Some people like The Ramones and some people certainly like Weezer. I have to imagine there's a large portion of people who don't care about Skynyrd either. It's not like Gimme Three Steps isn't repetitive compared to something like El Scorcho.
If this was Guitar Hero I would be more inclined to agree with you, but when you're also considering people are singing and playing drums in this game a lot of these songs make a lot of sense.

Yeah, dude, you've got to remember there are more instruments going on than just guitar. El Scorcho never really did it for me, but I have to admit that if it did, that would be a hell of a fun song to sing. And singing the Ramones IS fun.
I don't care about Skynard at all, but I am glad to see Blondie on there. Any time there's a song I like by an artist not in the original game, I consider it a small victory. "Hanging on the Telephone" or "Heart of Glass" would have been better, but I'll take "Call Me."

Isn't Message in a Bottle already available through the Police track pack? Actually, I'm pretty sure it is....

Nope, the Police track pack was Synchronicity II, Can't Stand Losing You, and Roxanne. Other Police songs in the game are Next to You (on disc) and Truth Hits Everybody (part of the (Arguably) Punk Pack).
Message in a Bottle was in GH II.

Oh, yeah, the line "message in a bottle" is in the song Can't Stand Losing You... I got it confused...

Not a lynyrd skynyrd fan at all, but Simple Man should be a fun one to sing while drunk. I'll get that Blondie one for my wife and I refuse Message in a bottle cuz it's in Guitar Hero.
How about some more Bang Camaro!! Push Push c'mon!

AS someone who buys a lot of Rock Band DLC, this makes me insanely happy. I'm not complaining but the last 2 weeks have really only brought Still Alive for me as I'd bought the OXM issue with the songs on the disc a while back.
Also, Message In A Bottle getting released means I can finally get rid of GH2 b/c that was the only song the misses absolutlet refused to do without.

Songs like "El Scorcho" that are slow with not too much going on in them are quite fun in the right mood. Many times I find myself not wanting to have to concentrate immensely to play a song. It's fun for me after a hardworking day to sit back and play "Moonage Daydream" or "Wanted Dead or Alive" as much as it's fun to play "Blackened" when I feel like rocking out. That's one reason I am quite excited about "Simple Man." A good tune to sit and enjoy.
