Pac-n-Roll and Battles of Prince of Persia. Those are seriously the only two DS games I have that I haven't finished.

I have advanced a bit on the Contra 4 easy mode, but have not tried normal mode yet. The reason is that a shaky commute ride is not a great setting for such unrelenting action. Also, my Etrian Odyssey has not reached a conclusion yet.

I have a terrible backlog on pretty much every system I own. For the DS, which I got just last Christmas, I still haven't started Hotel Dusk, even though it was one of the first DS games I bought. I just got up to the Elite Four in Pokemon Diamond, which is the actual first game I bought. My boyfriend bought me Contact for Valentine's Day and I haven't started it. I haven't beaten Puzzle Quest yet.
I blame all of this on Phoenix Wright.

I actually am playing about 5 games at the moment on and off depending on my mood. I like to switch it up. The games that are in my backlog once i beat a few are Apollo justice, Hotel Dusk, and FFXII Revenant Wings. i don't like to just play one DS game from beginning to end I like to have a couple and bounce back and forth between them. I don't know if i'm the only one who does that.

oh crap...where to begin. Lessee
Starfox
Orcs and Elves
Metroid
Mario v DK
Mario Party
Rayman
Viewtiful Joe
Yoshi's Island.
I'm sure there's more. Picross (best $20 ever spent) and Geometry Wars are always in rotation. However, I'm not sure those games really ever "end". Come to think of it. I give Nintendo an awful lot of money to have a shiny piece of plastic sit on my shelf. Now I'm depressed. I hate you guys.

Every single game I have ever bought for ANY system since I started working at my job I've played a few hours then put down. I work at a game store, so I buy a game, love it...play it for awhile...and see yet ANOTHER game I would like to buy.
But I do have my reasons, I'm leaving the country soon and will probably not be able to buy games as often (or at a discount). Good to have a few (40+) DS/Psp/Ps3/Wii/GBA/GBC games to play when I can't XD

- Advanced Wars DoR (I'm on the last few missions though so no big deal)
- New Super Mario Bros.
- Zelda The Phantom Boredom Glass
- Draglade (but I did beat it one character at least)
- All three Phoenix Wright games (halfway done with the first)
- Kirby's Canvas Curse (about half finished. It's my 'while I'm taking a dump" game)

Dragonball Super Sonic Warriors Z (or something like that). I really don't like this eternal flying around, I don't feel the chars and fighting is just pointless. So I just threw away 40 Euros. If it was just a piece of software, I would delete it, but still, I like spending money.

I've been trying to limit my purchases lately only to the games that I'm absolutely positive I need, so my purchases are typically followed by a week to a month of utter devotion, wherein I suck the game dry of any pleasure it could possibly bring me. I rarely bother to 100% anything I own, but I try to get my money's worth. But sometimes I'll lose interest in a game before I feel like I've gotten everything out of it.
Trauma Center: Under the Knife -- I guess I'm just not hardcore enough for this game. Every now and then I'll pick it up and spend some time trying to get through the last mission that stumped me. I'm presently at the mission where you have to repeatedly cut that worm thing in half before it spreads to the heart. c_c;;
Brain Age 2 -- Despite my love of the first game, I haven't been keeping up with my mental exercise in the sequel. Part of the problem is, again, the stiffer difficulty. My Word Scramble times are consistently higher than the maximum time limit the game will keep track of, and the Word Blend exercise -- where you have to pick apart multiple words that are being spoken at once -- is a nightmare for me. Even the incidental activities -- connect the dots and such -- seem to take me forever. I got it near launch, and I still haven't played it enough to unlock all of the activities.
Animal Crossing Wild World -- This one's not so much difficult as just dull. Maybe it's the flat landscape, maybe it's the lack of NES games, maybe it's the fact that I played it to death on the Gamecube. I just don't have enough interest in my town to keep visiting it. Again, I bought it near launch, but I have yet to pay off my house.
Pac-Pix -- I actually made it to the final level, but the last boss is so difficult that I've left it unfinished basically since it was released. Which is a terrible shame, because I otherwise loved it.
Tetris DS -- I don't know how much you have to play Tetris before you've gotten your value from it, but I don't feel like I'm quite there yet. I guess I just have so many great idle time-wasters that Tetris just sort of gets a back seat.
Sonic Rush -- This one puzzles me, because it's a good game and it really isn't that hard. I think I just fell out of love with Sonic all at once and I never really bothered to get back into it.

I surprised myself when I looked at my DS shelf and realized that I really didn't have a backlog to speak of. Sure, there are a few games that I put down halfway through because they just weren't fun anymore, but roughly 75% of what I have I've beaten. There are a couple that a rough patch of university caused me to stop playing like Luminous Arc and Izuna, so there's a chance that I might pick up and finish those, but I'm happy with my overall game completion rate. Now if you want to talk about a system of mine with a nasty backlog, I have about 20 PS1 and PS2 games lined up to take down over the summer. My sister is considering going halfsies with me on a PSP so she can take it to work during the daytime to watch movies on, so there's a potential for an even larger backlog. Urgh.

I've got a backlog of 79 games if you span every system I own. But my ds list is (if you count 2 games i'm in the middle of and 2 that I just ordered):
Pokemon Diamond
Star Fox
Etrian Odyssey
Magical Starsign
Drawn to life
Drill Dozer
Rune factory Harvest Moon
Scurge
Fire Emblem
Spectrobes
Advance Wars DS Days of Ruin
Luminous Arc
Heroes of mana
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
Mario and Luigi
Ace Attorney Appolo Justice
Polarium
Tetris DS
Guess that means I've played about 40 ds games since the little guy came out.

I've managed to clear out pretty much all my DS backlog. And I've taken all but my most loved DS titles and sold them at a pretty good price. What I'm left with is the Phoenix Wright series, since it's too excellent to sell, even if I won't likely play it again, and Days of Ruin, New Mario Brothers, and Tetris DS as my DS games I'll simply never get sick of.

I keep my purchases in check so i usually almost never have a backlog
Final Fantasy III DS i never finished, and never will, the amount of grinding necessary before the point of no return is mind-boggling
Bomberman DS (the first one) i never finished either, I would like, someday, to escape from Stark Mountain on Diamond & Pearl (with the shiny Graveler i acquired), the one storyline on StarFox Command where you have to go through the stage with all the missiles,
I think that's about it

I am now only buying a game once I've completed the last one I bought before it, but my backlog is pretty insane, which is why I have this new rule. Seems that The World Ends With You will be bought after I finish Rondo of Swords.
The backlog:
One's I currently play regularly:
Puzzle Quest
Shiren the Wanderer
Izuna
Etrian Odyssey
Nanostray 2
FFCC: Ring of Fates
The games I need to get back to:
Lunar Knights
Deltora Quest (on hold until I finish the books, which are a FAQ for the game)
Final Fantasy III
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
SD G Generation Cross Drive
Super Robot Taisen W

My list is pretty reasonable thankfully.
As far as DS goes just Contact and FF3 which are both like 80% done or so. On the Wii technically Godfather but the story is done, and on GC just Zelda: TP which I stalled 25% into.
The GBA though is a whole other matter as I just picked up a nearly new micro stupid cheap and then grabbed a handful of games to deal with. A few don't really 'end' like V-Rally 3 or Mr Driller 2, but as far as work in progress go there's: Tales of Phantasia (20%), Wing Commander Prophecy (70%~), Dragonball Advanced Adventure (at least 50%), Baldurs Gate (15-20%), Metal Slug Advance (25%), Drill Dozer (20%), and Mario Kart (33% unlocked.)
Not bad really as I just pick away at a few most days like today where I downed like 1/2 of Wing Commander and did another 1 1/2 worlds of Drill Dozer, along with starting Baldur's Gate.

My DS backlog is pretty low, but that's because I buy very few DS games due to the fact that I pretty much only play my DS at work during lunch breaks or particularly slow days since I work at a call center. My actual console game backlog is pretty huge, though. For that, I'm going to blame Lord of the Rings Online. :P
DS:
Sonic Rush
Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
GCN:
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (Only have a few missions to go, but when you consider I've owned the game for over a year now..)
Starfox Adventures (Haven't even started.)
F-Zero GX (Story mode is ridiculous!)
Wii:
Super Mario Galaxy (Have enough stars to travel to the final area, but I'm one of those who have to do EVERYTHING in a game.)
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Ninja Spirit
Breath of Fire II (Though I beat it on SNES long ago.)
Super Metroid (See above.)
ActRaiser (See above!)
Neutopia
Air Zonk
And despite this, I've got The World Ends With You and Mario Kart Wii pre-ordered. After those, I should totally resolve to NOT buy any more games until I finish the ones I have. But realistically, I know that's not going to happen!

I have a copy of Phoenix Wreight I have yet to play. I have not played it because...well I'm not exaclty sure. Part of me thinks it might be worth something since its still sealed. Another part of me thinks if I like it, I will have to buy all the others and I'm not sure I have the money to add another series to my list of obsesions.

I'm usually really good with completing my DS purchases as close to 100% as I can, if only because I don't buy many games each year. If I end up with any backlog, it's because I've intentionally set aside a few Christmas acquisitions to help me contend with any unplanned, but possibly forseeable summertime boredom. During my spring break a few weeks ago, I beat Mega Man ZX Advent (just the main story, not many extras), which was supposed to stay untouched til the summer, but oh well. That leaves just Zelda PH. But, I have Revenant Wings at the point where you get Ashe and Basch (too much grinding at that point imo) and Geometry Wars only three galaxies in. But that's not really too bad.
What is bad is that this coming June alone, there are like five games I want a whole lot. Things could get interesting.
