The Supafine Zelda one by a longshot this week.
NukeAssault @ Apr 13th 2008 8:03PM
Totally.
LaughingTarget @ Apr 13th 2008 8:15PM
Also agreed, finally, someone who is willing to tell Zelda as it really is.
Tom @ Apr 13th 2008 8:51PM
The zelda one is amazing. I smirked when I read it, it's clever.
Psaakyrn @ Apr 13th 2008 8:53PM
Obligatory link: http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/6801
(or for the impatient/lazy, number one way to die: Looking up to see the sword come down into your head and then turning into stone [from Windwaker])
NukeAssault @ Apr 13th 2008 7:51PM
VG Cats link is fd.
LaughingTarget @ Apr 13th 2008 8:19PM
But it still gets voted for.
Sir Fidlious Wong (Zeon Defense Force) @ Apr 13th 2008 8:29PM
Mainly because some people have the intelligence to go ,"Hmmm.... this link is busting but more than likely, this would be the new strip on www.vgcats.com so I should head there to see if it's funny or not."
The internet isn't completely inhabited by fucktards. Plenty of us have the ability to find things without links.
Joe P @ Apr 13th 2008 9:25PM
More then likely though it's because people go VG CATS IS ALWAYS FUNNY! without bothering to visit the other links.
I say this because I love VG Cats but, lets be honest, it wasn't that funny this week. Scott had other things on his mind, like a tornado.
A Pissed-off English Gamer @ Apr 14th 2008 12:44PM
It wasn't just "wasn't that funny" it was almost the exact same scene as in the Goddamn game, with the same punchline. The only difference is he leaves the jewel behind, so i'm not seeing the funny.
Peter @ Apr 13th 2008 8:13PM

Joeshie @ Apr 13th 2008 8:05PM
Bah, I thought that Gabe's lapsing back into DnD mode in Penny Arcade was funnier than any of these.
But then again, that particular PA strip wasn't a stand alone.
manaman @ Apr 13th 2008 8:10PM
Heh,
"XKCD" wins by so far a lead that the other webcomics should all be taken out back and shot to put them out of their misery. Well, okay, not "Dueling Analogs" or possibly "2P Start" but definitely the rest. 'Tis a shame, too, since VG Cats used to be so good. It seems to be struggling a bit as of late.
Maybe no one remembers Calvin & Hobbes OR wants to throw turtle shells from a motorized skateboard, but "XKCD" gets my vote.
Out,
manaman
Shmil (Brawl Code 2621-2310-1994) @ Apr 13th 2008 8:39PM
People still remember Calvin and Hobbes. Lord knows i do, I continue to reread by Calvin and Hobbes books every couple of months, but it doesn't really have anything to do with videogames. Those were two separate comics on XKCD, also am I the only one who thinks 2pstart is usually really lame?
samfish @ Apr 13th 2008 11:19PM
I have an autographed Calvin & Hobbes book.
I grew up in Chagrin Falls, OH, which was Bill Watterson's hometown when he wrote Calvin & Hobbes. He occasionally asked his mother to go to the local bookstore and borrow a stack of books, which would come back randomly signed.
If you look on the back of the first treasury collection (can't recall it's name now) with a giant Calvin stomping through a town, that's actually downtown Chagrin Falls.
Abscissa @ Apr 14th 2008 4:53PM
I grew up programming and this XKCD just pisses me off, despite the Calvin & Hobbs reference. I'll grant that C has it's problems (that's why D was invented), but any language that uses syntactically meaningful indentation is just garbage, period. Indentation-enforcement belongs in the tools, not the language grammar. Don't even get me started on the evils of dynamic-typing. Fucking newbie coders...
Abscissa @ Apr 14th 2008 4:58PM
Completely unimportant, but adding to what samfish said, Chagrin Falls is a pretty neat place to visit if you're ever in the area. I'm from Mentor(ish) which is about a half hour, maybe an hour, away, so I've been there a few times.
FiredCylinder @ Apr 13th 2008 8:10PM
I'll withhold my vote till you fix the VG Cats link.
colin @ Apr 13th 2008 8:18PM
the "?" key is in the "e" spot
Gurei @ Apr 13th 2008 8:33PM
As much as i really loved 2p start these week, comon supafine take on a gamers experience on zelda is just priceles.
Redface @ Apr 13th 2008 9:16PM
Meanwhile, 2p Start continues to be the unfunniest comic on the web.
TheOverlord#2(Toon Link FTW)(1461-5875-9923) @ Apr 13th 2008 11:16PM
Can I introduce you to: www.cadcomic.com ?
TheOverlord#2(Toon Link FTW)(1461-5875-9923) @ Apr 13th 2008 11:19PM
Make that http://www.cad-comic.com
Srayer @ Apr 14th 2008 1:57PM
It may not be funny, but the great art keeps it from being a total loss.

Demaar @ Apr 13th 2008 8:47PM
A lot of really good ones this week. I wanted to vote Digital Unrest out of principle, but even though it's good I don't find it the most funny soooo... yeah.
ThornedVenom (Harley Quinn Defense Force) @ Apr 13th 2008 8:42PM
The most segregated time in America is laundry day.
Gotta separate the whites from the colors.
psychoticdream @ Apr 13th 2008 8:57PM
you evil bastid
LaughingTarget @ Apr 13th 2008 9:14PM
I was just thinking that today with my laundry. N'Gai must think I'm a racist bastard for not washing my socks with my AC/DC shirt.
Psaakyrn @ Apr 13th 2008 8:45PM
Though the vgcats comic doesn't make sence, since Sonic could already run through the time barrier in Sonic PC..
(I know Sonic used a tool to do so, BUT the point is that Sonic shouldn't be suprized, hence the lack of humour)
MNC Dover @ Apr 13th 2008 9:53PM
I liked Digital Unrest this week and the way Gamestop is getting it stuck to them. Hopefully this trend will continue this way in the future.
No poll for us this week, but here's our comic anyways:

EBH @ Apr 13th 2008 10:24PM
Dude, those were turtle shells in the xkcd one? I thought they were leafs.
Also, I like 2p Start usually, though this week, I didn't even smirk.
Yourself @ Apr 13th 2008 10:43PM
Hmmm... I'm starting to remember why I stopped reading weekly webcomics. WTTF was the only one that even got a "heh" out of me. I didn't even begin to get the joke in XKCD (the apparently Mario-Kart related joke, that is) and Dueling Analogs is just as much of an abomination as ever.
Man, what a negative post. I feel must better having gotten out all the aggression.
ogvor @ Apr 13th 2008 11:52PM
Get Over Here!
That one wins just becuase I laugh at that phrase regardless of the situation. (It's a long story, but it has become an inside joke with my friends)
Imadogg @ Apr 14th 2008 6:53AM
I LOLed at that one, voted for Moby Kombat.
Finally he put the harpoon to good use.
hvnlysoldr @ Apr 14th 2008 12:41AM
That Zelda one is funny because even if Nintendo does make the series like that all of a sudden no one will like it.
Bucket @ Apr 14th 2008 2:08AM
I never met a Calvin & Hobbes reference I didn't like... until today.

For the first time in a long time, I really liked all of these. My vote goes to Supafine. I'm off to play TP with those images in my head. *tee hee*
Abscissa @ Apr 14th 2008 5:13PM
The Dueling Analogs Wii Wheel one deserves to be higher, IMHO. I voted for the Supafine, but Dueling Analogs was a close 2nd this time.
Nguyen @ Apr 16th 2008 4:36AM
oh god, when link shoved that heart into his collection of hearts... that killed my stomach in laughter.
Zootittles @ Apr 16th 2008 3:54PM
