Bourne demo coming next month
We've been cautiously optimistic about The Bourne Conspiracy, with all its groin-punching, dramatic framing bravado. But the rubber will truly meet the road (or fist meet the crotch as the case may be) next month when Xbox Live will be receiving a demo for the game, according to developer High Moon Studios. One is also in the works for PS3, though there's no time frame at the moment.
But just imagine: If this game is solid, the sky's the limit for Matt Damon movie-based projects. We're personally torn between The Legend of Bagger Vance's Golfing Armageddon and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron Racing. What about you?

I am so tired of the PS3 being treated like a second rate citizen. No matter what tilte or developer it is it seems as the 360 gets the best of DLC and gets its patches and demos far sooner or doesnt even do it at all for the PS3. I just dont get it. Of all the millions of dollors the companies have mage off of Sony all these years would think they would treat Sony much better or better yet us consumers that spend that money. How about treating us consumers better or just maybe we consumers may just avoid spending that hard earned money on your products.
baby sea tuna @ Apr 14th 2008 2:30PM
Or, you know, they could just make their platform easier to code for...
Richie @ Apr 14th 2008 2:35PM
The ps3 wouldn't get things delayed or gimped if it was easier to code for and the main reason is if it had at least an attach rate close to 360. Devs know the 360 version of games sell more 90% of the time so they always want to make sure the 360 gets the best treatment. It was the same in the ps2/xbox 1 days. The ps2 had a high attach rate and whatnot so it got the best treatment. Devs. go where the money is and right now that's Xbox 360.

No one gives a shit. You wasted money on a horrible, fugly console with basically no games...sounds like your loss.

except Ben Affleck may ruin it for everyone.

Thepremierassins quote shows how childish and how he is unaware of the fact that his comment is lacking the slightest little bit of logic, because if he had logic or common sense he would be aware that the PS3 over the last 3 months had out sold 360 3-1 world wide and has out sold aswell in the usa not by that large of a margin but enough to ruffle the tail feathers of the fanboys. secondly code is not a factor now with the new dev kits out and thirdly, and the 360 is only barely 5 1/2 million units ahead of the ps3 with a full year lead and sony is catching up fast. i have a right to comment seeing as i own both the 360 and the ps3 with the 3 rrod on my 360 and after 14 months of un interupted service from my ps3 and several great titles to play on it. the arguement that there is no games is lame. so save it for the nieve gamer that doesnt know better. better yet if you hate the ps3 so much why dont you just stay with the 360 fan sites and allow the true gamers comment on the mutiplatform sites.
ThePremierAssassin @ Apr 14th 2008 3:45PM
I've 3 statements for you...
1) Shortages
2) The 360 has been out for a whole year ahead of the pos3...
3) The ps3 is still a shitty console full of hype and "wait until"
And oh yeah yes you're entitled to bitch about the ps3's lack of support or love. Just don't expect anything to change or any pity.
Esat Dedezade @ Apr 14th 2008 3:47PM
You do realise that the fact that the 360 has had a year head start means that most people that would want one have had one? i.e. its becoming saturated.
I'm not saying that no one else will buy a 360 but a years head start = more people that wanted one have got one.
JJ @ Apr 14th 2008 4:11PM
Well i doubt its saturation at this point as the Wii is well 5 million consoles ahead of the 360 at this point worldwide in only a year and is still selling like gangbusters. So if ANYTHING is saturated it would be that or the PS2 (which is also, oddly enough, still selling in large quantities that i dont think Sony is in ANY trouble).
That aside funny how the first month PS3 outsells the 360 (even by a small margin) the subject of shortages comes up...odd how that works out huh?
In any case while the PS3 is still 6 to 7 million some odd consoles behind the 360 (mainly due to NA) it still isnt a failed console by any means, going by its pricepoint i am, infact, rather amazed that they're closing the gap as quickly as they are.
Either way this generation poses to be one where ALL contenders make a substantial amount of profit. and given the numbers i've seen recently it would appear that Europe is quickly becoming more of a major player in the console industry as well.
But back to the point at hand it IS disconcerting that developers haven't gotten a handle on the PS3 tech yet and delay stuff like mad. The Ps2 was renonwned as difficult to develop for and then look what happened... it became the standard.
The bottom line i feel is if devs dont make use of the tech on the PS3, they have no one but themselves to blame if their games dont sell well on it, just like if no one took advantage of 360's tech, that game wouldnt sell as well.
Esat Dedezade @ Apr 14th 2008 4:16PM
True the Wii is outselling the 360 at an enormous rate. But remember this formula:
360 cost > wii cost (by a considerable margin)
Plus I almost don't like comparing the two, they seem to be targetting entirely different demographics. In my opinion there both next gen consoles by dates released only. From a hardware point of view there in different worlds.
Now more and more casuals are buying the wii, nintendo are tapping into a rich, vast, previously untapped market. But let me ask you this, are little Jimmy's parents going to buy little Jimmy the Wii2 when that comes out, or due to their inexperience will they think that this 'new fangled' game gizmo is not worth it.
The future is yet unsure.
Benny @ Apr 14th 2008 3:57PM
Matt Damon doesn't look like Matt Damon.
But if this is a success we might get Good Will Hunting: The Game. Woo!

Matt Damon's likeness is not used in the game.

'Good graphics' don't appear to be used in the game either.

Exodus @ Apr 14th 2008 4:39PM
Why must every article of any games now come to an argument of PS3 vs 360? Honestly stop trolling these stupid comments...Both systems have their merits...everyone has his/her own preference. Just drop it already. No one cares to read your stupid comments anyways...You are just taking every single article and flame baiting it. Yes we already know the 360 is by far the easier to code for...we've known this for a long time now. Yes the 360 has had many faulty hardware issues...deal with it. Now can we get back to actually talking about the context of the actual article? And thank god Matt Damon's likeness isn't in this game...it pulls the player away from the movies...plus I don't have to have flashes from "Team America World Police" of Matt Damon's puppet going "Matt Damon."
