the only thing about the map pack is that GTA4 is coming out. If the maps arent out this week or next I doubt I'll get it since I have to pay for GTA4. So hurry up Sony.

I wonder if this has anything to do with MS complaining about getting x amount of weeks of exclusivity.

regardless i won't be buying it anyway. good game, but i'm not spending 10 more dollars with so many good games coming out. I would of bought if it came out at the beginning of the month like the xbox, but with GTA4 14 days away, and MGSO on monday, I won't have much time for cod4 anyway.

I agree with that. I bought the game the day it was released and played it heavy from january till april. I just sold it. This dlc needs to come out sooner than 5-6 months because by then i am tired of most games and sell them.

Yeah it kinda sucks that they are charging for this. On the PC you get maps all the time for free. Not only that but COD4 (for me) is getting boring...this is too little, for too much, too late.

Sony would do well yo fasttrak this for Thursday, considering it's one of the most popular titles at the moment.

Come on Sony, why not try to appease gamers for a change, rather than getting their backs up...

It doesn't sound like it's Sony holding up the release of it.

Agreed on the GTA timing. The same holds true for Warhawk -I'm not sure I'll be splurging on that either. I feel a bit let-down following the last DLC Omega Dawn which offered little of use for Zone Play. The new map was less than appealing.

its 10$ people stop being cheap. i make that in less than 10mins at work. its not gonna break ur bank account. its not going to get much use because gta4 will be out but it will come in hand if u ever feel like turning it on old schoo. if ps one games are getting download on the ps3 why wouldnt someone want to play new maps on COD.

It's not that the money is going to break me, it's just other games will have my attention for a long time. I won't be putting that 10 to use. When i get bored of the other games, then perhaps i'll come back and buy the maps. But I don't seen cod4 holding my attention after MGS4O beta comes out, and then gta4. so why waste the 10 bucks on something i'm not going to use.

If you never ask the price you don't value money. This will change when your parents quit paying for everything, trust me.

I'll definitely get the new maps if they come out on the 17th, otherwise, GTA 4 is where I'll be for the next few months. Infinity Ward will still make a load of scratch on these maps, but from an economic perspective it makes sense to capitalize on the new PSN interface and this final deadspot before the summer blockbuster game releases.

I agree, I think they waited a little too long to release these new maps. Should have possibly held back 1 or 2 maps initally ( I can think of 2) and rode the wave of popularity.
Releasing the "new" held back maps in Jan/Feb until the rest were finished in April.
With the release of GTA 4 right around the corner, It may be too late to cash in. I'm sure some gamers like myself will still download the new maps but many good gamers will have moved on.
I am guessing that after the "new" wears off of GTA 4 there will be a return to COD4. Anyone agree?
peace

then you won't be getting it, they have already said no rumble, they have too much code to deal with in an update.

Sorry man...402 confirmed that there's no rumble coming for the ps3 version of COD4, not unless we collectively boycott the new map content or something:

This map pack is long over due and should be coming with a rumble patch b/c whats the point in having the new controller if the number one online game doesnt support the rumble?
