Damnit I loved me some Ducktales back in the day. Especially when they were searching for the lost city of gold. And then when Gyro made the Gizmoduck suit. (tear) Ahhhh to be a kid again...

It seems like the 360 is still supply constrained which is seems to be a problem for MSFT.

I'll be interested to see how the h2h sales for Vegas 2 and Army of Two are, as well.

You mean there isn't as much demand anymore for a system that's been out for a year longer than the PS3? Shocking!!!!

These numbers don't mean anything except for that the PS3 is finally hitting its stride. We all knew it was going to happen. Even MS knew it was going to happen. PS3 still has a long way to go before anyone can start gloating, but it will catch up. The question is when.

It will take a long time at the rate it's going now because when you compare the time the 360 has been out to the amount of units per month that it's still selling, the system would still be considered by any analyst you ask to be doing very well. The PS3 has been consistently outselling it for the last few months, but it's not like it's been a landslide or anything. It's usually just by a few thousand units. We'll have a better idea later in the year as to just how much PS3 will be able to catch up. It's still not considered to be doing very well in Japan yet, and if it was, you would really see it blow the doors off of this console war, but the Japanese are still clinging to their PS2s.

The deciding factor will be what games push what systems and how well each one does during the holidays. Xbox 360 has several big name exclusives coming out this year that will revive interest. PS3 does too, but they don't seem to be as big of a deal. MGS4 will sell well, Haze might sell well, GT5 has now been reduced to a $40 demo of a game that we won't even see this year.

On this very website, it has been shown that more copies of GTAIV will sell for the 360. I have to wonder how many people without consoles will buy a 360 vs. how many will buy a PS3. It will be interesting to look at the numbers when the game finally comes out. Rock Band is now a timed 360 exclusive in Europe. It will have a full two months of 360 exclusivity before it hits the PS3. You better believe that will move systems as well.

I guess my point is that the 360 still has PLENTY of gas left to hold its own. There are plenty more exclusives coming out and the Falcon models seem to have restored some stability to the reliability rates of the system. I myself waited to by one until the Falcons came out, and I'm very glad I did. I don't need the BluRay functionality because I can either get my HD movies on Marketplace or from my pay per view service. I'm not a movie buyer, so I don't care how the movies get to me. I just care that I can watch them in HD. In a world that's slowly going OnDemand and Pay Per View and turning away from disc copies of media, BluRay probably isn't as important as everyone thinks it is.

Good for Sony fans that they are seeing success with their console of choice. The only gripe I have is all this passioned positive response for Sony doing what should have been done for the past two years

1. Create a viable online gaming and contenct network

2. Dropping the price of their console so the majority of the gaming public can partake in their product

It seems like New Years around the gaming community with all these implementations that Sony has done these past few months while the 360 has had these features since its inception but yet there is nothing but scorn for this system from Sony fanboys. The 360 has given its users what they want since the beginning and with more quality gaming titles than what the average gamer can handle. So the question becomes why be so stubborn and...

1. Not buy a 360 who has had these features your are so desperately asking the PS3 to implement?

2. Critique the 360 to the bitter end for having something the PS3 has not had for almost two years?

Face it, if it wasn't for the console you stubbornly will never support the PS3 wouldn't be at the price point its at right now, and the PS3 would still be drowning in online functionality apathy.

I certainly can't speak for everyone, but I'd venture that much of the Sony fanboys' hate toward Microsoft stems from how the PS3's shortcomings are software-based and continually being addressed while the 360's faults are mainly hardware-based. The software faultss end up being permanently corrected - for example, I'll never have to worry about the sluggish pace of a web-based PS store again, and some day soon, I won't have to kick myself out of a game to respond to an IM. But when you shake consumer confidence with shoddy hardware which STILL has not been completely ironed out, that deserves some degree of scorn. Not only that, for PS3s, the software updates correct the problems permanently, free of charge, no matter if you bought the system day one or day 100. If you bought a launch 360 system, no matter how many times it breaks and you send it back for repair, chances are you're just getting another refurbed, previously broken system that, in all likelyhood, will break again. And that warranty won't last forever... In other words, due to the natures of the two systems faults, there is a cost in getting from a launch 360 to an improved-hardware current 360, whereas any old PS3 can be turned into today's current improved-software PS3.

Umm, why should it make any difference to PS3 owners whether or not an Xbox 360 breaks?

Actually, he already predicted PS3 beating 360 for the month after GTA releases. Watch Bonus Round on GameTrailers. And with MGS4 in June, when's the 360 going to be able to take the silver again?

Well, it's tough to keep consoles on the market when you have to constantly send out new ones to replace the broke ass ones that you already sold.

Can you feel it slipping away HB? Can you feel it? The end is near...

Damn, your posts are really tired at this point. All you do is say the same crap over an over about hardware failure.

You aren't making Sony any more money by being a troll.

LOL @ fanboys!
Just a few months ago they were saying things like "Sony should just give up on PS3 and start from scratch", "X360 will own this gen". Now they're acting like they knew all along that PS3 will eventually beat it (some are still in denial and continue toeing the MS line about supply shortages) with excuses like "it was bound to happen", "360 has been out longer and therefore anybody who wanted one already has one "market saturation"". I'm in no way implying that PS3 has already won because it's got long way to go, just making some observations.

When the xbox was born it stared up at this behemoth that was the PS brand. (comapare the PS2 sales to xbox sales)

To accomplish the the 360 has is no easy feat, respect is deserved where respect is earned and the 360 is nothing to laugh at my friend.

The 360 has succesfully battled the PS3 throught this generation. Which by the way is half way done. (I don't care what anybody says, these machines are just like PCs, after 5 years you better start looking for a new model if you want to keep up).

The conclude I leave you with this annology. Who is winner between the following competition? Kobe VS me, one on one. The final score Kobe 21, me 19. So tell me who wins? Who was expected to wipe the floor with whom?

The Wii only matters for one company and one company only, Nintendo. Even if they sell 50 million consoles a 3rd party title will still do better on the PS3. Nintendo is making a crapload of money selling hardware. If the Wii stopped selling tommorow, Nintendo is still up millions. Sony and Microsoft can't say that.

My Wii suffers from a complete lack of compelling software. I sit on my couch and look at it thinking, I'd really like to play something on you but what. Wii Sports lost its appeal ages ago, Zelda, Mario, and Metroid lay beaten. I feel that buying Brawl is buying a game only to justify buying something to play on the system.

Pretty soon Microsoft has to come to the realization that the market for thier console is only 15-20 million people worldwide. I can't think of one game on the 360 that would be a must play for me. I don't like horror games, Gears of War was actually too violent, same for Bioshock. If I really want to play Halo or some of the others I can just wait for the PC version. The other must play games are all multiplatform.

With a PS3 I can watch BluRay movies, play the great multiplatform games, and have decent onlin emultiplayer when I want to play online but know that it doesn't have to be the focus of

Ok... a friend of mine has an 80 gb PS3, and guess what??? Its hard drive crashed.... hundreds of hours in gaming down the toilet... and they won't even replace it, because the 80gb has been discontinued.

RROD... is highly exaggerated... blogs are generally negative in nature, so naturally when something breaks they complain about it.. but all of the millions of happy 360 owners are too busy playing games than blogging about RROD... I bet more Sony fanboys talk about it.

So whether you are a M$, Son¥, or Nint€ndo fanboy (or girl)who really cares about which system is selling more or not this month or next... its all about the games.
