Peekaboo Pole Dancing is currently seeking partners to license its "make me a private dancer" product for Wii, reports Tech Digest. The company famous for its "Peekaboo Pole Dancing Kit" and celebrity-endorsed "Electra Pole" has apparently reached out to the gaming industry at large through an email pitching its would-be game.
While Nintendo is not likely to follow up its Balance Board with the "Posture Pole," or Wii Fit with "Wii Strip," there's certainly a market for Peekaboo's proposal: a way for mommy and daddy to stay connected after the kiddies are tucked in; or the after-party for Wii Sports Bowling Night at the Senior Center. Though with STDs on the rise throughout the retirement community, Wii Strip may be one gimmick Nintendo is prepared to shy away from (let's not further encourage our performance enhancing drug-addicted elders, amirite?). One thing's for sure: Nintendo draws the line when it comes to the corruption of the old people.

I don't like the concept of the game at all. And I don't know any retailers who would stock it. And there's no telling if the ESRB just won't AO it or no one is even going to try to think to publish it.

I don't meant to offend anyone but if your GF does that for you that means you are either lucky or that your Gf is a hoe.

I can't for the life of me imagine why the gaming community is considered immature, given the above comments.
Would this generate a lot of complaints? Sure. Should it? Of course not, unless you hold the view that all video games are for children.
Carmen Electra's stripping DVDs are extremely popular, and for good reason. Stripping and pole dancing are the new "pilates." It's a good aerobic and cardiovascular work-out, and women enjoy doing it.
More to the point, it's Neo-Burlesque, which has become more mainstream in recent years and less "dark dingy strip club filled with old perverts." It's a valid form of performance art, as evidenced by the recent "Erotic Star" series in Australia. The winning performance was absolutely spectacular and not the slightest bit exploitive. It's amazing to watch the talent on display, and the women in the crowd enjoy the performances as much (if not more) than the men.
It's all a moot point, really, as the game would obviously require an AO rating, which Nintendo will never support. But it's a disappointment that the cleaner, healthier forms of erotic entertainment are being forced down, leaving people to dive into the cesspool of filth that is the internet.

You know, it saddens me knowing that there are probably people out there that would buy this. As a result, the sales generated from this, would probably drive the makers to make more things like it.
Yet great games like Odin Sphere, Okami and Psychonauts get completely ignored for garbage like this.

No, no they don't.
This is no different from any other number of casual or "mainstream" titles like Singstar, Brain Age or Nintendogs. The type of people (generally speaking) who would buy those games would NEVER have bought Okami or Pyschonauts.
Those games (and more, like Beyond Good and Evil) suffered from poor marketing. Simple as that.
I understand your point (i.e. that it's sad that games like The Guy Game can outsell treasures like Ico), and whilst I agree, there's no cannibalising of sales going on. They're entirely different markets, and they always will be.

Just a minor correction: just because it's pole dancing doesn't mean that it must involve stripping. It's still a workout irregardless.
Though I highly doubt this is meant for the more acrobatic form of pole dancing, since that form of dancing relied on high quality poles and isn't for beginners.

I'd buy this even in the off-chance that I could somehow get my girl to actually use it... But how would it even work? It notices the vibrations in the interaction with the pole?
In all seriousness it could be fun.
