Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Metal Arms join Xbox Originals lineup
Major Nelson informs that secret agent Sam Fisher and some robots have been discovered covertly trying to sneak onto the Xbox Originals lineup. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and Metal Arms: Glitch in the System will be available for 1200 MS points ($15) a piece beginning next Monday (except in Korea and Japan).
As usual, it behooves us to mention that unless it's 3AM and you've got the hankering for an Xbox Originals game, it's probably best to take a look around the intertubes (or a favorite gaming pawnshop) for a better deal.

Sucks for those in Korea and/or Japan.
The Artist formally known as Jesus @ Apr 15th 2008 10:12PM
There are 360's in Japan?
DangerMouse @ Apr 15th 2008 11:00PM
Konami has one, but only to port MGS4 over to it.
Superstar90 @ Apr 15th 2008 10:09PM
Can't they have demos for these games? I don't want to blindly buy it without trying it.
Tiptup300 @ Apr 15th 2008 10:16PM
Seriously, these are meant for the people who didn't get the chance to get these old classics. Just look up credible reviews and buy them. Psychonauts was amazing!
Raikage (LDF CRAB BATTLE!!!) @ Apr 15th 2008 10:25PM
Chaos Theory is everything you wish MGS was (gameplay wise) and much more. Best game of the series by far, and best multiplayer ever.
jackbauer(ssbb:0087-2222-7531) @ Apr 15th 2008 10:40PM
I agree with alkage, Chaos Theory was a great game. Although, 15 bucks seems a little steep since you can get it at a much cheaper price elsewhere. Unless you are lazy or like having your games on a hardrive I say go for it. I might pop it in later tonight!
Metal Arms was an enjoyable game. I have long lost it among the the clutter when I was moving, but I still remember some moments. The mechanic dude was the funniest character. It had some solid gameplay, upgradeable weapons, bosses. The mulitplayer was also suprisling deep because the hacking stuff in the game you could do in multiplayer. I reccomend this too but again...15 bucks!nah!
DangerMouse @ Apr 16th 2008 1:06AM
The PC version's been out for years, and my 5 year old PC can run it at full speed. It's worth a try.
DangerMouse @ Apr 16th 2008 1:08AM
^Poo. I meant the PC demo.
Tim The Enchanter @ Apr 16th 2008 11:45AM
@ Jack
Metal Arms had upgradeable bosses? Woah. :P
kilodelta @ Apr 15th 2008 10:30PM
anyone owning an Xbox or Xbox360 needs to have Chaos Theory on their library
MarkHawk @ Apr 15th 2008 10:36PM
Indeed, The Coop in this game was amazing. Actual Coop missions with different paths. It was much better then Army of two and much better then later versions. I bought the special edition and actually only played coop. Might convince a friend and pick this up.
Anyone know if the Coop will work on Live?
captainking @ Apr 15th 2008 10:32PM
multi player on chaos theory was so amazing, I loved pwning teh mercs as a spy.
Raikage (LDF CRAB BATTLE!!!) @ Apr 15th 2008 10:41PM
Same, I was a freaking ninja, beating the crap out of the mercs and disappear then do it again. I rarely snuck in that game, just played head games with them. :D
NukeAssault @ Apr 15th 2008 10:41PM
Woo Metal Arms! such a fun under appreciated game.
Jacksons @ Apr 15th 2008 10:52PM
No kidding. That game was great.
Mrblonde @ Apr 15th 2008 11:35PM
One of the top sleeper hits.
Obie @ Apr 16th 2008 12:52AM
I knew this game was gold when I met my two robot teammates, "Screwed" and "Hosed" hehe.
theturtle363 @ Apr 15th 2008 10:47PM
man i remember Metal arms. Lot a fun with that game, but wow has it been a long time
Lone Starr @ Apr 15th 2008 10:58PM
I'm hoping Conviction will be Chaos Theory good, but I really think number 3 was the high point of the series.
RUS BESAW @ Apr 15th 2008 11:01PM
Loved SC:CT but without multiplayer and live achievements if you have already completed it why the heck would you ever bother now ?
The Artist formally known as Jesus @ Apr 15th 2008 11:06PM
nostalgia?
John McPoop @ Apr 15th 2008 11:26PM
No reason to look back at a cheap knockoff of the original when the next iteration drops in June ... I thought Double Agent was especially bad in comparison to chaos theory ... Oh well i am to busy catching up on some MGS Essentials to worry about anything with Sam Fisher in it ... Got my beta key locked an ready to go ...
Raikage (LDF CRAB BATTLE!!!) @ Apr 15th 2008 11:38PM
I loves my Essentials. I just beat MGS3 again, now I'm going to beat 2 for the first time. I do miss 3's CQC though...
Arturo @ Apr 15th 2008 11:27PM
I wish "The Thing" came to xbox originals :(...game pwned face
LordMinogue @ Apr 16th 2008 12:35AM
Some games should be bought from XBL on principal. Psychonauts, for example. In an ideal world unappreciated franchises will generate enough revenue from digital downloads to finance a sequel.
Obie @ Apr 16th 2008 12:53AM
You know what game needs a damn originals release?
Beyond Good and Evil. Awesome game that never got its due.
Michael @ Apr 25th 2008 12:49PM
Beyond Good and Evil went from being from an underrated game to and overrated game overnight.
Oh and for those who havnt played it, Metal Arms is quite possibly the greatest game ever made. Defiantly the greatest shooter ever made.
Hayabusa_sama @ Apr 16th 2008 3:44AM
=´( sad face... i was expecting conker live and reloaded to come out i didnt get a chance to buy one =/ xbox its not very popular in my country to bad for me xD
Jayslacks @ Apr 16th 2008 7:42AM
If you don't already have Chaos Theory in your gaming library, something is seriously, seriously wrong with you.
John @ Apr 16th 2008 7:53AM
Metal Arms is definitely worth it. It blows that psychonauts game everyone is fawning over out of the water.
Brian Fantana @ Apr 16th 2008 8:20AM
So, I guess, this is what it took to get a good Splinter Cell game on 360.
nick @ Apr 16th 2008 9:11AM
No achievements, and too expensive for such old games. Sorry, not interested.
dealer @ Apr 16th 2008 11:13AM
If you own a 360 and don't own Chaos Theory, just go to EBStop and buy it for $6.
Tim The Enchanter @ Apr 16th 2008 12:04PM
Hmm... I've always wanted to try Metal Arms. I guess I'll just go to BB and get it used.
BeeKnuckle @ Apr 16th 2008 2:04PM
For anyone who wants to play Chaos Theory multiplayer, we still play several nights a week, and would love an increase in the population. Send an invite to BeeKnuckle or Gnaeugh, and we'll do some Snappy Snap.
Also, we've got a small Facebook group called "Splinter Cell: Spy Merc". Join if you like.
The3rdNuisance @ Apr 19th 2008 1:15AM
Gonna get Metal Arms again it seems.
Now they need to release Killer Instinct Gold on XBLA or... the Nintendo equivalent... forgot its name.
