It seems there was some jumping to incorrect conclusions after an article in the Scotsman suggested Realtime Worlds was looking to adapt APB "for games consoles such as XBox and PlayStation in the future." That's only partially true, as the game is currently bound for PC and Xbox 360. Still, there's loads of time between now and 2009, and plenty of ways to spend $50 million in funding.
Realtime Worlds undecided on All Points Bulletin for PS3
"The situation is that yes, all the consoles are an option for us, and we'll be looking at them, but there's nothing decided, nothing to report at the moment I'm afraid," said Realtime Worlds studio manager, Colin MacDonald. The only thing worth reporting then, as discovered by GamesIndustry.biz, is that the Crackdown developer has no concrete plans to bring its bandanna gangster MMO, All Points Bulletin ("APB" as it's known on the streets), to Sony's black behemoth.

I don't see the point in specifically not developing it for the PS3 provided they can just go ahead and release the other versions first. But maybe they're waiting to see how the game fares...
Yo everybody blame the PS3 for delaying GTA4 , we could be playing that game by now.

...it's cheaper to do, from what I've read.
(not flaming . . . im a console gamer too so its ok if we say it.lol)
Shooter + Cross-platform = PC pwnz0r
...that's exactly why they should have cross-platform multiplayer, LOL. It would make APB's gang wars that much more interesting. Especially if the character models from the previous post about this game are involved (Shigeru Miyamoto, Cloud, Barret, et al). Not sure who PC gamers would be represented by... maybe the DOOM guy? Duke Nukem? the King from SOLITARE?
could care less if it came to PS3 or not

...Anyway, it's not that I wouldn't want this game on PS3 as well; but if GTAIV's online/multiplayer modes are as good as the PSP ones, this game will really have to rally up some amazing hype and modes to get it past that juggernaut.

Personally, it doesn't interest me, I bought crackdown, and just couldn't get into the game, although I know most people that played crackdown evidently loved it.

Gee, we really like to make this an exclusive if only someone would step up to the plate and pay us a lot of money. Wink, Wink…

GTA launches in about two weeks, and will have so many multiplayer modes that mimic this game, I don't really see the point.
Unless this comes out this year, it'll just fall to the wayside like every other MMO.

Unlikely - RTW just got $50m investment from some venture capital firm; jumping straight into some kind of restrictive exclusivity deal with someone would be counter-intuitive.
