You certainly have to be careful when playing videogames on a treadmill. Get too involved in the gameplay then you'll forget where you are and walk off the edge (personal experience). Perhaps a casual game of Puzzle Quest or lines of dialog in Phoenix Wright?

Puzzle quest is a puzzle, RPG, strategy game; all that sounds consuming to me. It's been a while since I played it, but isn't there a timer during the battles? Role playing, strategic puzzles, the rush of a timer... I think those three reasons (possibly 2) are enough to consume most peoples’ focus.

Maybe I'm wrong but, woah, wtf, bad advice. This idea of playing DS whilst running on treadmill was talked about on G4tv.com back when the DS (phat) first launched. I think they implied it was a bad idea.
I've tried it, and with a good form this is not possible unless you use one hand to play your DS and have great peripheral vision. Not just, it's also dangerous; maybe you should say something about not jogging/running over 3 mph? Try walking on a treadmill while playing DS and ones pinkie toes might still get dangerously close to the treadmill's edge every now and then.
yeah. wow. i just ... bad suggestion really, keep it limited to the bike (since I don't use exercise bike and therefore can't tell you how terrible that advice could possibly be)

Oh! The only word I can think of for that crop is, "delightful." But I saw the original image at the link, so what the hell was done to the crop, (not that I hate it,)?

It's hard to play a game on a treadmill. I don't think I'm weird, but the system or my head shakes WAY too much to actually play. It's like playing a touch-based game in a car on a bumpy road. It just doesn't work well. Now a console game would work great. What's better though is a handheld/console while riding an exercise bike (or an 'exercycle' for all you weirdos).

Days of Ruin + exercise bike is actually a favorite past time of mine. Jump into story mode and play a few matches and before I know it I've been exercising for an hour and a half.

I really need to start doing this again. I used to take my GBA and play the older GB versions of Dr. Mario, Yoshi, and Tetris (works well with puzzle games). Of course, I sold the GBA to get a DS which made keeping those games pointless. Pity. I miss them.

Treadmill + Phoenix Wright = FTW. I like to walk with a book, and playing an Ace Attorney game is even easier since a lot of the stuff you do is one-handed. In fact, I've just switched from The Chronicles of Narnia back to Phoenix Wright; today I'll be starting the fifth case of the first game. ;)

I wouldn't play it through the first time this way, though, just because it's doubly frustrating to be stuck and exercising at the same time.
